This book opened my eyes to a whole new way of looking at health and healing. It has changed my life. Homoeopathy is a gentle and natural way to overcome many health problems that conventional medicine has no way of treating. It looks to the whole person, body and mind, to seek out the causes of illness. Although this book is full of excellent background information, and is very helpful in acute situations, people must not try to treat chronic problems without the guidance of a professional homoeopathic physician.

Written for people involved in placing workers in jobs, such as rehabilitation counselors and employment counselors. Discusses the obligations of these professionals to people with disabilities under ADA. Although the reading level is high, the information can be handy for job seekers who need to understand the point of view of placement professionals. The book also includes a section for job seekers with disabilities titled "Talking About Your Disability in the Interview: A Question and Answer Study Guide." Provides legal details about handling the issue of disclosure in the interview.

This book goes over in great detail of how to use Linux. It starts off basic, and works its way up to tackle the complex commands that most people overlook due to the commands limited use or complexity. (ie, EMACS, sed, awk, etc)

Since it starts off very basic, and explains how to use the basic system so that even a new computer user could start learning, you wouldn't think it also would be a great reference to the linux guru. I've been using Linux for about 5 years now, and I consider myself a Linux guru, and I DO find it very useful. The way it is organized into two parts (tutorials in one part, the lexicon which provides the lower level references, in another) allows for easy skimming for someone who just needs to look something up, or allow you to go through it and not get bored by reading a dictionary of terms and usage glossary.

I had been waiting for an AC/DC play along for so long, that when this one became available, I ordered it immediately.

Personally, maybe because I am not in a band yet, I think play alongs are lots of fun. We can jam with our favourite band in our bedrooms and still learn the guitar much more easily, due to the CD and tab combination. I also like to use the backing trackings without the guitar lead to train an improvise my own solos.

This book covers eight famous AC/DC songs, with a full demo first and then a second version of the same track minus the lead guitar. I play along with both versions. I use the first one to follow the lead guitar and get my playing tempo right. I start to play with the second one when I think I am already good enough.

If you give yourself enough time and practice, you can slowly reproduce every bend, vibrato, etc... It's a matter of rewinding the CD and working on it until you are really close. This is a very valuable learning tool in my opinion.

The songs chosen are some of their most famous. You will find "Highway to Hell", "Whole Lotta Rosie", "You Shook me all night long" and "Back in black" among others.

The recordings sound very nice and there is a part at the beginning of the book with tips to reproduce the classical tones for each song. This is a very nice touch too.

All in all, this is an extremely nice play-along, with a great theme(AC/DC) and a CD that has really nice recorded versions. For AC/DC fans this is really, really fun. I am glad I bought this book.

I cannot say enough good things about this book! Peter J. Pecora and Fotena A. Zirps are two people who are always at the forefront of the child and family service quality improvement field and this book is no exception. Quality Improvement and Evaluation in Child and Family Services : Managing into the Next Century covers a lot of territory, but it is easy to understand and full of information. It is like taking a course on quality improvement that covers a little bit of everything step by step. It is informative and groundbreaking enough for the seasoned qi professional, and simple enough for people in child and family services who are new to quality improvement. It would also be a good book for executive staff who are trying to become familiar with the quality improvement process and understand how it can work in their agency. Besides focusing on child and family services, the book describes what corporate sector quality improvement is doing and how to connect it to child and family services. People are always borrowing my copy and many people who borrowed it, ended up buying their own copy.

First, I cannot believe I am the first person to review this book!

I have been using this book for three years and it is so full of common-sense solutions and thought-starters that it gives me an advantage I would not want to be without on the job. Each chapter begins with a 2-3 page introduction on the lists which follow. Most lists contain at least 10 entries with supporting statements after each, which circumscribe the issue. A quick read through the list generates focus. Then, you can home in on the solution by using the list items that are best suited to you.

This book is a diamond in the rough (of business how-to books), but every list contained within is an unqualified gem.
