If you are a cat lover then this is a book to own. Each quote was written by those who understand these amazing animals. I found more quotes and phrases that describe the two cats I own purr-fectly. There are quotes from Einstein, Jim Davis, Abe Lincoln, T. S. Elliot, Erma Bombeck, and Mark Twain just to name a few. Only a cat lover could understand exactly what the author meant by his or her quote. There are also little tid-bits of cat lore, information about the animal, nursery rhymes, and superstitions mixed among the quotes themselves. I found this book a "Must Have" for any one who owns a cat or has owned a cat and feels that he or she truly understands this amazing creature. I laughed and smiled as I read each page. I got more than my money's worth when I purchased this book. I'll recommend it to anybody who owns one of these mysterious beasts.

This is a great book with lots of recipes to delicious pastries.

FOr those that missed Disney's Limited Series "Little Mermaid" Comics of 1992, this collection reprints the first two comics. Set as a prequel, it tells the story of how Ariel, on one of her treasure hunts, passes through the Black Chasm to run into the Eel People, who have never seen a mermaid before. Adding to this is the emergence of Aquata, Triton's oldest daughter, who is beset by problems of leadership. Someday she will rule, but she can't get any of her sisters to take her serious. In trying to hunt down Ariel, she, too, is captured by the Eel People and is to be fed to the Serpentine, a giant sea dragon. Ariel rises to the occasion with spunk and determination, resolving a situation with intelligence The artwork is very fine, abetted by Philo Barnhart, the man who came up with the character design of Ariel. It is great for children, who see a more serious and grown-up Ariel. It is nice for collectors for the gorgeous artwork and history of Ariel and her life.

This text provides a wealth of information for programming for students with learning disabilities.The first half of the book focuses on characteristics, identification and service delivery. The strength is in the second half, focusing on methodology. His chapter on designing the classroom environment is excellent! Strategies are practical and primarily metacognitive.

I think this book is worthwhile reading, specially for those who love Basketball! It takes you slowly into a different world but doesn't forget the ball. Interesting experience, easy to read and attention catcher.

this journal has lay-flat spiral binding, sturdy covers and a convenient elastic strap thingy to hold in any papers you may want to keep inside your journal... i just put my pen in the binding and i was ready to write! this journal is good to travel with...

This book had wonderful, glossy, high-quality pictures. There was so many pictures that information kind of fell second. If you are dying for some adorable pug shots, go with it. If you need some good information, this book has a good amount, but definitely try going with something else for maximum info.

Dorfman has had the misfortune of prefiguring history in a number of his literary works. His first novel Hard Rain (1973) was released as the warning signs of an impending coup were blaring over the Chilean people. The text is composed of a number of fragments - of literature dealing with the socialist revolution in Chile, of reviews of such literature, of film scripts, of criticism of the novel itself, and of extensive correspondence between authors, publishers and editors. The pieces are largely disconnected and comment in highly oblique ways on the relationship between aesthetics and politics. They are able to create a whirlwind of artistic and critical voices at the same time that they unite in a metacommentary on the historical moment Dorfman was narrating in Chile. The most disturbing aspect of the text is the fact that it highlights antagonisms and questions the strength of Chilean solidarity, before the coup and at a moment when Dorfman himself was highly committed to the success of Allende's government. Many of his colleagues would later chastise him for his seeming lack of support, while Dorfman would protest that the grim world of Hard Rain was a fictional exploration of disharmony. This novel manages to explain the complexity of Chile at the time while it also debates questions about literary aesthetics and the importance of art.
