RemarkableChronicles life of Ronald Reagan from humble beginnings to success as a film star to his ascent to the presidency & current retirement. 1st prntg. Great photos!
A rich tapestry of President Reagan's remarkable life. For those looking for a visual biography, this books serves well. Using dozens of photographs spanning President Reagan's life, J.H. Cardigan takes the reader on a tour of Dixon, Illinois, Hollywood, Sacremento and finally Washington, D.C.
While the books spans the entire life of the former President, the author moves at a quick pace, keeping the reader interested and entertained. One of the best in its category!

One of a KindAlthough this book is miniature it is packed with information about your sun-sign. The feature of this book I enjoyed most was that it paired your sign with each of the other eleven signs (including itself; Sagittarius and Sagittarius). For example Sagittarius and Leo. It then described the chances of a relationship between the two. Another feature I enjoyed was the different chapters about Sagittarius. Such as your talents and careers, body and mind, and Sagittarius at a glance. I know that you will enjoy this small book as much as I have.
It is a very cute and pretty book.I like how they not only talked about the signs, but it's compatible signs too. This cute little book would make a great gift! I love it

A Beautiful Book in the Zen Tradition: Small, yet LargeThis is THE perfect gift for the frazzled someone who, in the day-to-day general chaos of work and appointments and family and bills, FORGETS the Zen appreciation of "now" and "absurdity." It's a delicate gift, too, by merit of it's petite size--about 2" by 1.5"--but it's brimming with thought-provoking quotations in an aesthetically-pleasing format: it feels good to hold and looks lovely. It's perfect for tucking into a backpack, bookbag, purse, or pocket but I urge you not to read it on public transportation because sure as hell the person next to you will want to start reading it and, once that happens, you'll have a hard time getting it back again! (Smiles!) While, clearly, this is not aimed at those unfamiliar with Zen, it's a perfect book with which to say "I'm thinking of you; don't forget to think/not-think of yourself." Buy two--you'll want to keep one for yourself...

EnlighteningThis little book is great for any one who enjoys deep thinking. Simply open up a page, and there lies a beautifully complex starting point to jumpstart the mind.
It is the perfect size to drop in your pocket for any adventure - be it a trip to the city park, or a trek in the mountains.

Adventures in the Afterlife: The Secret Diary of Thomas Edison
Published in Paperback by Magic Hour Press (June, 2002)
Amazon base price: $13.95
Average review score:

A Fascinating ReadThomas Edison is a famous man, but there's a side to him I knew nothing about - his fascination with the occult . Ariel Penn's new book taught me and entertained me at the same time. Told in the form of journal entries, Edison becomes a real person instead of a distant and unapproachable historical figure. Woven into the story are many other historical figures who also held an interest in the supernatural, including Henry Ford, HG Wells, and others. This book has it all: drama, a touching love story, adventure and excitement - what more can you ask for? This is a great read for people of all ages who are interested in learning about the man, the era, the history, or who just want to read a superbly entertaining book.

What a superb seriesI remember seeing these sets of books in my University Bookstore in College--never read them, but picked up the whole set for .25 each at a garage sale. Little did I know what I'd been missing. I also just started teaching history in Calgary--a colleague agreed with me that they are fabulous, but said the snobby professors looked down on the Durants as "popularizers." I can't think of a higher compliment. Excellent footnotes, with quotes from primary resources, all the marks of a hallmark historian. I reading these books like steamy romance novels--and they are a lot more fun. Durrant is not afraid to comment on the sexual mores/and morality of the times. His judgments are pithy and well, history is riveting. I would have paid full price for these if I'd known how good they were!

A rare story of faith and love. This book is more about the life of Judson Granniss then Ariel Custer. Judson grew up in a home that while it belonged to a women named Emily Dillon it was run by his hard mother. He and his mother had come to live there because of a will written by Emily's father. Emily was a meak person and did her best to be quiet and have others do as they pleased. However, no matter what she did Judison's mother was not happy with it. Thus when Emily appears to have been murdered the mother Judison and his new found friend Ariel are the obvious suspects. This is a wonderful story of how if you have faith anything is possible.

Excellent! So this is an early work by Aimee Thurlo and well worth the read! Heroine is a dog trainer with the USAF training a dog as a bomb sniffer to work with the EOD guys in the Air Force. She falls for the handsome and heroic bomb squad leader and they work together to train the mighty Cyranno to do the job that in 1983 was novel and today is a must for all areas of law enforcement. The techniques used to train the dogs and the work done by the EOD team make a fascinating backdrop for this opposites attract story.
Simon takes the lovely and refined Ariel to a truck pull for their big initial date which sets the tone for thier rocky road to romance- totally entertaining and engaging! Well worth the read!

ARIEL MY LITTLE SISTERTHE LITTLE MERMAID IS A VERY GOOD BOOK AS WELL AS A MOVIE. I REALLY ENJOYED IT ALOT. WE WATCHED IT AT HOME AS A FAMILY MOVIE. BEFORE MY LITTLE SISTER WAS BORN I USED TO BEG MY PARENTS TO NAME HER ARIEL AND THEY DID AND GUESS WHAT, SHE LOVES THE MOVIE MORE THAN ANYONE IN THE WHOLE HOUSE. I BELIEVE THAT EVERY YOUNG CHILD NO MATTER THE GENDER OR RACE SHOULD SEE THIS MOVIE BECAUSE IT IS VERY GOOD THATS WHY I GIVE IT 5 STARS.
