Beautiful Christmas story
This is a heartwarming story of a family who, regardless of the hard time they've had, recognize the blessings in their life. The last page, where the father is grateful for his family and their home, truly moved me.

City of legends : the story of Hyderabad

Finest book on history of Hyderabad
Well researched and written. I came across this gem of a book in India and I have read it couple times. I found to my surprise that not even the locals of Hyderabad know as much as what this book tells. This book tells history behind the popular commercial spots in Hyderabad like 'King Koti', 'Abids' which none of the locals are aware of. Unfortunately many of the historical tombs and buildings of immense architectural beauty mentioned in this book are in ruin and some lost. If you are from Hyderabad (which I am not) and feel passionate about your city (which I do) this is your book. The most interesting part of the book is at the end when the police action was in progress. The chief of the much hated Razakars was running after his get-away plane in which he has stashed his fortunes with the Indian police hot in pursuit (sounds like Hollywood movie ending). Read the book to know what happens to him.

Very useful for my 5th graders' discussion of law
My media class always does a section on law and Wilker's book on Cons and Swindles was very useful as it gave an alternative view of cops and robbers that is seldom seen in elementary reference books.

A neglected master
I came to Wheelwright, as I suppose many do, after coming across John Ashbery's various references to him. One can only say that he should be read, while understanding that he won't be. A weird, risk-taking poet, whose best lyrics achieve a kind of negative comprehension.

Wonderful, simple cookbook
A great cookbook that has many recipes that are simple, with few ingredients. All that I have tried have been delicious. The Rodeo Cake is one of the big favorites from this one. A must for every kitchen!

Color As You've Never Seen It Before...
A fabulous book! Reading it is like taking a short course in the study of color. Sandra Austin explains the various ways color has been "harnessed" historically through the use of color systems, and then she proceeds to free your mind to intelligently explore color combinations on your own. I felt enlightened and liberated after reading this book; no longer plagued with insecurity, I proceeded to compose a perenial garden on my one acre with delightful results. Despite a few "typo's", the book is written with painstaking clarity. An intense subject,I found reading a few pages every night was all I could absorb. And that kept me craving more. I look forward to another book from Ms. Austin on the subject of color! How about COLOR IN GARDEN DESIGN BOOK 2?

This book is an excellent resource for community financial institutions who desire to remain independent. The rules Dr. Austin has developed are insightful and obviously a result of years of working directly with community banks.

A great help
This book was first recommended to me by an undergraduate professor as a tool for gaining a fundamental understanding of certain limited cases. However, after checking it out from the library on multiple occasions, I finally broke down and bought it. The authors present material in such a way that even those subjects beyond the scope of my research became interesting.

Overall, the book is a very thorough and organized treatment of the subject of Criminal Law. It is of invaluable assistance for anyone, not just students, hoping to gain a greater understanding of the developments of criminal jursiprudence. And while all of the books in this series are helpful study aids, this book's particular strength is its accessability. It condenses tremendous amounts of complex information into extremely readable segments. It is an engaging and surprisingly entertaining volume, and highly recommended.

Cross-Cultural Reentry: A Book of Readings
Published in Paperback by Abilene Christian Univ Pr (June, 1986)
Author: Clyde Austin

Shared experiences from those who have gone before...
Cross-Culture Reentry is a great collection of studies, personal accounts and reasearch about the effects of returning to your host culture from living in a foreign culture. After having lived and worked in Germany myself for an American company and then returning to America the only thing I can say is I wish I had read Clyde Austin's book before I went. Even though my company does business in 25 countries around the world we don't do anything to prepare our associates for the rigors of living in a foriegn country or the harder task of returning to a host country. Cross-Culture Reentry has numerous creative recommendations for individuals and companies to plan for, maintain and re-culturize employees as they transition through the maze of crossing cultures. I have taken on a personal mission in our company to implement many of the fundamentals this fine book has to offer. More than anything in this book I appreciated reading the cross-culture stories of various individuals and their families...they let me know I am not alone in my re-culturization process. Exciting which-way book is great fun
I've had this book on my book shelf for years now. It takes you on a facinating, and sometimes frightning, journey. It all starts in a sleepy little fishing town, as you get from bed to investigate an errie green glow coming from the ocean. You'll take a terrifying trip on a pirate ship, meet up with the most spine tingling aliens, and run for your life as bloodthirsty werewolves hunt you down in an edge of your seat climax. Of course this is a which-way book, so the directions are up to you. However, let it be known that many of them lead to gruesome deaths, while others take a more "Twilight Zone" approach. This is one book that you'll read over and over again, discovering many new horrifying journeys along the way.
