A sophisticated analysis of tennis
This is an oldy but goody. A sophisticated and creative analysis of tennis strategy. The matches referenced may be a bit out of date but the analysis of tactics and strategy is quite relevant.

A Grand Book to Read
When the fish get to go out and have recess early, they have a sports day. Some of the fish complain because they are no good at it. So Rosie and Dyna try to set a good example and teach them what its like to have fun. It was a great book to read because it keeps you reading to the end and makes you wonder how it will turn out.

Almost As Funny as Seeing Them In Person
The Reduced Shakespeare Company is one of the funniest entertainment we have around. They have a great mix of intelligent and slapstick comedy, and never take themselves too seriously. They are hilarous to see live and to listen to!

Women, Cyborgs, and Cyberculture
Whether you are merely intrigued by how women are represented in cyberculture, or doing serious research on how women are being affected by technology, this book is a great place to start. Not only does it provide a wide-ranging anthology of the best writing on the subject, including an amazing bibliography (I love bibliographies), but it also includes a number of excerpts from science fiction books portraying women and technology. Not only is this book giving me a lot to think about, it has provided a reading list it will take me quite a while to plough through. Well worth the price and a must for anyone writing seriously about cyberculture or cyberfeminism.

FOUND RECIPES I'LL USE FOREVER in this CLEVER LITTLE BOOK
It was EXCITING to use the RECIPES that were contributed to this "Big" LITTLE COOKBOOK by restaurants in AUSTIN, TEXAS. Love the recipe for SALSA on page 7. The book is CLEVERLY COMPILED at a very REASONABLE PRICE and gives you the CHANCE TO TRY THE SPECIAL DISHES of SKILLED CHEFS. Barbara Allen did a "good thing" here. You don't have to be a TEXAN to use and enjoy REMEMBER THE FLAVORS OF AUSTIN! Big is not necessarily better and this little cookbook proves it!

Deep insight
As a criminologist I highly recommend this book to anyone of any age. It gives clear and professional information on the subject of the criminal and the system. The author makes this already interesting subject even more fascinating. Get this book and learn from a credible source what most people think they learn from TV.

Review from the Publisher
Right and Reason is probably the greatest and most successful Ethics book written to date. Widely used in Catholic colleges, it is undoubtedly the clearest and easiest-to-read Ethics text ever published. The author says that no book can take the place of a professor in the classroom, but this one virtually does-and Fr. Fagothey says he wrote it that way. Though issued in 1959, it remains remarkably contemporary and can be read basically by any adult-either in toto or as a handy reference to look up topics in question. Phrased in non-technical language, Right and Reason is a thoroughly competent book in the philosophy of Ethics, which gives the science of morality from the Aristotelian-Thomistic, common-sense school of thought-which is none other than the Perennial Philosophy of the Ages, the philosophy outside of which one's positions quickly become absurd and all reasoning ends up in dead-ends.

He covers the whole field of Ethics, posing and answering the perennial questions; for example: What makes the right right and the wrong wrong? What is moral obligation and where does it come from? Why is divorce always wrong? Why is abortion always wrong? When is it moral to kill another person? Do animals have rights? What is the origin of the State? Who has the right to educate? Is capital punishment ethical? Is there a right to work? What is a just wage? What is a just war? What is the principle of double effect? Are suicide and euthanasia against the Natural Law? Is there a Natural Law? etc.

The classic principles of Ethics are as valid today as ever, and anyone who attempts to grapple with today's new moral questions-in medical ethics, family issues, international relations, etc.-without a solid grounding in these classic principles is guaranteed to flounder around in the swamp of guesswork, emotional thinking and mere personal opinion. Every educated Catholic and every educated person-if he is to think correctly on moral issues-must be familiar with the great ethical questions and their classic solutions, solutions such as presented in Fr. Fagothey's clear and masterful work, Right and Reason, which for today's confused world is a beacon of common sense written with an authoritative competence that no one can effectively argue against.

Rubicon by Candace Ridington
I am delighted to have the honor of being the first reviewer of this wonderful book for Amazon. I find it absolutely delicious reading and perfect for being totally immersed. I am going to be lost when I finish the book and longing for more. I cannot stop reading at night and the chapters are such a nice length that it is easy to play the game of "just one more" for a long while. The author really did her homework and the book is accurate historically. I will probably become interested in Emily Dickinson's poetry as a result. There is no doubt that this book will be long remembered.
