Our family's favorite children's Christmas story.Simple yet profound, clever, yet touching, this masterful little story is a gem. To a heartbroken young porcupine who doesn't get a part in the Baby in the Manger play because the other animals taunt that a prickly porcupine is unsuitable for such an honor, the mother's oft-quoted words, "You are the light of my life!" are consoling. The surprise ending is touching and beautiful. The story fosters sensitivity, is superbly illustrated and full of laughter and tears, and the mother's words will become part of your own family life.

A Great Book for the beginner investor.Since I am just learning about the investment world I have read ten books so far about how to invest, where to invest, how much one should invest, and so on. "How To Invest The Smart Way" by Stephen Littauer is the best investment book that I have read. Since it covers Stocks, Bonds, and Mutual Funds it covers hows to invest in each and what to watch out for in a very concise manner. I borrowed this book from our local library and I hope to purchase it in order to have it as a resource book for future use. Of the ten books that I have read so far this is the only one that I have selected to put into my own library. So if you want to learn the basics about investing that is in a clear, concise, and understandable language then select this book.

GARDNERs Pay OffJohn Gardner's screenplay approach to writing novels pays off. This is his first novel based on the screenplay of a Bond film and he seems to have found his niche even though some of these events are a retelling from Ian Fleming's novel "Live and Let Die" with the same character being mangled again! However, this novel is based on Richard Maibaum and Michael G. Wilson's story for Timothy Dalton's James Bond in LICENCE TO KILL. It remarkably makes for an interesting read from an otherwise unsatisfactory film adding detail to scenes and venturing inside the head of the main character exploring his feelings and motivations. For John Gardner this is pretty inspiring stuff.

Best of the Best got it right this time! SEXYI loved Having Faith- Faith and Sawyer's friends into lovers story is passionate and loving and warm and built on such depth- you really get to know the characters and like them immensely!Sex is steamy in this one as is the hallmark of Ms. Delinsky!
The Stephanie Bond one is cute- our hero has a major case of Peter Pan complex- former jock is settling down and being a real businessman for the first time in his life to win the love a woman he wants so much....This was orignally one of the "Sweet Talkin' Guys" books. The first time they have sex is amazing! THE HEAT COMES right off the page! WOW!

James Bond Dossier

An Excellent Study: Dissecting James BondThis book is very good to read after you have freshly finished the Ian Fleming's original 'James Bond' books (avaliable in a new edition from Viking and Penguin: order them now!). It allows readers to take a peak into the aspects of Bond they might have missed whilst reading. Amis has taken Fleming's original facts, ellaborated, and made his own humourous, sketchy, and facinating observations. As a literary master himself, and a long-time admirer of what he calls 'the Fleming affect', Amis expertly takes apart, not just the world, but the man, James Bond. Fleming veiwed the manuscript of this book shortly before he died, and approved every part save minor quibles of what James Bond ate, drove or drank.
As stated earlier, Amis was himself a bond-fan, and said to Fleming once: "Mr Fleming, You are the only author whom I can say 'I have read all your books, and have enjoyed them thouroughly'". A due credit.
