A useful primer on the bond markets
I quite liked the style - it is an easy book to read. It has quite a few useful tips of the trade. It is obviously an introductory level text and skates over most of the technicalities, but it's very good on the stuff that it does cover. There are one or two typographical errors (mislabelled diagrams etc.) that may cause a bit of confusion. Overall though, I thought that it was very good.

Excellent Guide to the Bond Market!
This book is brimming with information on bonds. It is a straightforward guide for people just getting started in the bond market. The examples and definitions are extremely useful, and help to demystify the subject. And it is easy to read!

great resource for your pack list
I used two books this one and lonely planets traveling with kids guide. Between the two and the Lonley Planet India guidebook I feel very prepared. I really love the quoted ideas from all kinds of other -traveled with kids- experienced moms. Very helpful and supportive. I leave next week for a month. So we'll see how valuable the 50 things I never would have thought of are. But I can tell you that I feel prepared now and I have gotten from the book what I had hoped for: a comprehensive list of ideas and experiences which enables me to feel prepared to go to India with my 3 and 5 yr old.

Packed with valuable travel information for mothers.
This is the best travel book I have ever read for mothers who travel with their children. The chapters are short, to-the-point, and easy to read. The book is inspirational and informative.

I Rode a Streetcar Named Desire

I Rode A Streetcar Named Desire
This wonderful slice of life transported me to 1940s New York as seen through the eyes of a new and ferociously talented young actor. It tells the story of Rudy Bond, one of the original players in Tennessee Williams' hit Streetcar Named Desire, at the threshhold of fame as he gets his first role on Broadway. Bond cleverly weaves enough of his past with the tension of a new play opening to give the reader a very true sense of both the New York that was and the Bond that was. In addition, his down-to-earth interaction with the rest of the cast -- Marlon Brando, Jessica Tandy, Karl Mauldin, and Kim Hunter among them -- gives a very real sense of them as people. Bond's in-the-moment perceptions take the reader right back to those moments. A really fun ride!

Fascinating story of an actor's life in 1940's NYC
Hard to put down story of a highly talented actor struggling to find work in NYC in the 1940's. This fascinating and at times heartbreaking memoir gives a rare behind the scenes view of the overwhelmingly difficult life actors have trying to succeed in this profession. We are treated to what it was like studying and working with some of the greatest actors, directors and producers in the history of stage. A must read for anyone even remotely interested in theatre, film, or even movie stars. Couldn't put it down! Bravo Mr. Bond, may you (posthumously)like so many other struggling, talented actors, finally get the recognition that is long overdue.

A struggle for life. A country against a man.
SMERSH, Russia's "murder department", are out toget 007 killed. A lure is laid in the form of avivacious lady, who later switches sides to become the Bond Girl. A murderous, herculean maniac and a dedicated head of execution are hell bent on Bond's blood. Plotted in a turmoiled Turkey, it is many a difficulty Bond has to face to save himself, or rather save what he can of himself!

ONE OF THE BEST
This is one of my favorites! Bond vs. SMERSH. The book is wonderful I had trouble putting it down.Kerim Bey is a great character and the plot for Bond and Tatania to meet up so SMERSH can kill Bond is great. The Orient Express is where most of the action is but the highlights in this is the fight at the gypsy camp, when Kerim kills Krilencu, the fight with Bond and Grant on the Orient Express and when Bond and Klebb fight in the hotel room. Great book and one of the best in the series! Highly Recommended!!!

Illustrated James Bond 007
Published in Paperback by James Bond Double-O Seven Fan (February, 1981)
Authors: Richard Schenkman and John McLusky
Amazon base price: $6.95
Used price: $18.00

Faithful 'Illustrated' 007
The 'Illustrated' 007 is faithful to the Fleming book series, which is fine by this reader, since Fleming's portrayal of 007 was the original and best. John McLusky's image of James Bond bears an amazing resemblance to Sean Connery - and this was drawn before he took the role of 007 in 1962!

This reader's disappointment is only that the complete set of Illustrated 007 episodes for all of Fleming's novels aren't available.

Three james bond titles in comic book form
This book contains comic book adaptations of three of Ian Fleming's popular James Bond novels: Dr. No, From Russia With Love and Diamonds are forever. These stories are faithful adaptations of the original novels, with minor variations in the plot. Richly illustrated by John Mcluskey, these strips appeared in the Daily Express newspaper in London as well as many other newspapers all over the world. The plot of these stories are well known to most people in the world due to the enormous popularity of James Bond, and these comic strips present a whole new way of experiencing these stories again. Highly recommended.

The Intermediate Electron Bond and Half-Reactions

Informative Book
I found this book to be very usefull to me and very informative. It's detail and ease of understanding is highly rated. I am impressed by the author's unique ways of explaining the subjects, something I always found myself unable to do. I definately recommend this book to anybody in this proffesion and think it's an essential addition to ones library.

A new fundamental approach to the atomic structure
I read the book "The Intermediate Electron Bond and Half-Reactions" written by Alexandr Chernomorskii with a great interest. Based on the theory and experimental study of a subject the author suggested a model of atomic structure of elements. His method for calculation of the first ionization potential for all elements of the Periodic System represents a new fundamental approach to the elements atomic structure. The suggestion that the electron bonds may be calculated as a sum of the intermediate coulomb bond and specific bond is a bright idea that could be applied in electrochemistry and other sciences. I recommend this book for researchers and specialists in natural science. The theory deserves to be noted and commended by those researchers. Leonid Pevzner, PhD"

International Inductive Study Bible Indexed Bond Leather Burgundy
Published in Hardcover by Harvest House Publishers (November, 1993)
Author: Harvest House Publishers
Amazon base price: $81.99
Average review score:

Good for serious students, but not for casual readers.
This Bible is very good for the Inductive-method student who wishes to study in a systematic fashion; not relying upon the notes and explanations (mini-commentaries) which are published in many of the Bibles today.

Others, however, who may not wish to pursue such a rigorous method of study - opting rather to "ease" their study with notes supplied by the publishers - might term this Bible to be "user unfriendly".

For the Inductive-method student, it is not only a Bible, but it is also a textbook - providing the reader with a "how to" system of Inductive study complete with colorful and easy-to-understand examples. The margins on each page are extra wide, allowing ample space for note taking. Each book begins with a step-by-step process, explaining exactly how each book should be approached. There are charts and tables at the end of each book to help the student summarize the lessons learned in each Book.

The one improvement that could be made, however, is the "historical information" (items of historical significance that could enhance the study, not found in the body of the Scripture). More information of this type at the beginning of each Book would definately be helpful.

Inductive Study Bible
This bible is excellent for personal bible study. It's wide margins invite writing and marking. Guidelines for study precede each book, and spaces for outlines follow each book. Scripture references are very helpful. Great for the person who likes to "dig" into the word personally and not rely on footnoted commentaries found in many other bibles.

SHORT FLEMING/ BOND STORY
FOR BOND FANS, THIS IS MUST. BUT DON'T EXPECT THE MODERN SLAM-BAM. BASED ON A SHORT FLEMMING STORY, NOTHING LIKE THE MOVIE. SET IN 1961 BERLIN, TYPICAL BOND OF THAT ERA. SHORT (I.E. - 1 CASSETTE STORY - BUT AT THIS PRICE, WHY NOT)? TITLE PROVES TO BE A FUN SUPRISE AT THE END....

Tightly Woven, Perfect Yarn!! A Classic 007 Cold War Tale!!
One of Ian Fleming's best James Bond stories!!! With this short story, Fleming gives us an interesting view of Bond and his opinions on his cold, lonely profession. While many of the typical 007 trappings are missing, Fleming conceives a perfectly written story that keeps the reader's (or listener's) attention throughout. One of the best elements is that Fleming dispenses with the fantasy and makes the premise very beleivable. The story is very moody and the narrative paints vivid portraits of the action in Cold War Berlin (The Perfect Location for a Perfect Spy Story) and the man that is James Bond. Fleming's descriptions of Bond's feeling about his chief "distraction" from duty are masterful. This particular audio book perfectly captures the spirit of the story. Anthony Valentine's narration is very soothing and helps the listener to visualize the action as it develops. Valentine's clear voice and well-timed inflections make this interpretation the best of all of the audio book versions of Bond novels currently available in the U.S.

Hilarious!
This book had me laughing out loud. This author has a gift for humor and emotion, a powerful combination for a romance writer. The sequel, Wife Is A Four-Letter Word, is just as funny.

Funny!!!
I love this book. Thought that it had a funny premise. A good read.

Kiss Kiss Bang! Bang!: The Unoffical James Bond 007 Film Companion

Highly informative insight into making the James Bond films.
Unlike the "official" James Bond compendiums written before it, "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" offers a broader, more objective view of the history of the James Bond film franchise. While the finished product could have used a polish from a real editor (there are typos everywhere,) the raw material contained here is worth the read alone. Everything from Fleming's early failed attempts to bring his hero to film, to Saltzman and Broccoli's instrumental casting of Sean Connery as the first James Bond is documented and seemingly well researched. Each film production receives it's own chapter, From "Dr. No" to "Tomorrow Never Dies" including the non-Eon produced "Casino Royale" and "Never Say Never Again." All chapters open with production stories as recollected by the cast and crew and includes initial reviews by film critics (a real plus here) who reflect on the sexual and moral perversion that audiences succumb to when viewing a James Bond film. The authors close each chapter with a 10 point fan-boy rating system, grading everything from the opening sequence and titles to the girls and gadgets. Overall the book is a quite refreshing and insightful companion. There aren't a lot of photos in the book, but the ones that are included aren't ones we've seen before. As a fan it left me thankful that Burt Reynolds was never cast as 007, upset that "Casino Royale" was wasted as a spoof and imagining what the franchise would be today if George Lazenby and Timothy Dalton did more films and if Roger Moore did less.

Great read for those wanting more info on the Bond movies!
If you are wanting more information on the James Bond movies (background stories on how they got made, info on how various actors came to be Bond, ratings of the movies, etc.) then this is the book for you. At over 200 pages, the tome certainly isn't short on information.

The authors definitely have their favorite, and there is room for argument with some of their ratings, which makes the book even more interesting. They rate each Bond movie in a variety of areas (Villains, Women, Plot, Action, Bond, Gadgets, Dialogue, etc.)

I've found this to be a book I go back to quite often. It's great to read right before or after I've watched a Bond DVD. It illuminates some of the background on actors, producers, directors, locations, etc.

Highly recommended for the Bond movie fan.
