I liked this book and it was fun to quiz people.
I think for this book you really have to have read the book you are quizzing yourself on. I like that it included most of Roald Dahl's books. --Tulani (10 years old)

Scars
Awsome book... realy cool story line, and an interesting veiw of what goes on in someones head as they take the little steps that lead them to the moral point of no return. I actualy cared about the characters and loved the setting. Only two things keep the book from being a 5 (if the rating thing had a 4.5 i'd give it that) The first is the length. The book is kinda short...,but what can you expect from a small publishing company? (still well worth it though) The second is that the text has gaps in it in odd places. This sometimes had me going back trying to figure out if i'd missed something.

Kudos to the author for the great story, and to the artist for the awsome cover.

'60's Mania!
This is the book that, when I bought it 20 years ago, fired my enthusiasm for sixties pop culture. That enthusiasm has not waned even though my book is now torn, dog-eared and missing the cover.
The book covers nearly every aspect of 60's pop culture, from the mini-skirt to the obsession with spies and the cold war. Of course it has The Beatles and Twiggy and the whole 'British Invasion,' as well as the California surfing scene and Woodstock.
I actually found the book quite useful for expanding my 60's music collection and getting aquainted with groups that I was previously unfamiliar with. I was amazed intially at how many of the T.V. shows that I grew up loving were originally produced in the 60's. 'Gilligan's Island', 'The Twilight Zone', 'Laugh-In', 'Mission Imposible'...they're all here!
The book is loaded with great pictures, but unfortunately they are all in black and white. A book such as this, about such a colorful decade, just cries out for the glossy full-color, hard cover treatment.
Also unfortunately, the cover was very loose on my copy and the book came apart very quickly.
I hope this book comes back into print only with better production values and expanded sections to include such faves as 'The Avengers', 'Doctor Who', 'Thunderbirds', and 'Land of The Giants'. I wouldn't mind spending the extra dollars because, even as it was, this book has brought me many years of enjoyment, as I'm sure it will to anyone who is interested in the groovy, gear, mad, mod sixties.

A coffee table book of designer wedding, birth announcements
Although this book is a little dated (80's) there are very creative, sometimes humorous and always origninal ideas for announcements and invitations. The book takes the best of designs from around the country and showcases them in this hardback book.

Great.... But Not Perfect
This book is great for musically tallented James Bond fans, or someone who just likes to play good music. I believe that the arrangements of music in this book are excellent, however, the only thing I don't like about the book is this: It should include all of the James Bond theme songs! Other than that, This bok is great. That's Why I an giving it a score of 4 out of 5.

A great book!
If you are a Bond fan, you will love this book. Have hours of fun with your friends as you try and recall the little details of the big world of James Bond. The book features stills, questions, and answers, as well as a summary on each of the movies in the series. The book also features the two unofficial films Casino Royale (1967) and Never Say Never Again (1983). As a note of trivia, look for my name, Jason M. Allentoff in the acknowledgements.

A basic text for ECG recognition.

Excellent book!
I read The Wall Between, and I must say that it was a very informative book. It showed that the Civil Rights Movement did have an effect on both blacks and whites, and that there were indeed whites who made sacrifices for the cause. It also gave another perspective that is usually not seen - that of a white female who was involved in this movement. Learning about Anne and Carl Braden's lives before their decision to purchase the house for the Wades, was very instrumental in understanding why they made this decision. At times, the author seemed long-winded, but the information provided helped to understand how she felt about the decisions being made that affected not only her, and but also her family. Overall, the book was excellent!

An Excellent Ovverview of the Subject
In this survey of the interaction between military, political and social forces in the hundred years that started with the rise of Bismarkian Prussia, a good overview is provided of the major trends and developments, these being well-anchored in the main historical events. A strength of the book is that it preserves the correct balance between detail and overview - enough detail to maintain interest and colour, enough overview to ensure that developments are always seen in the wider historical, cultural and political context. A criticism of the book is however that by an excessive focus on the European scene it underplays the extent to which developments elsewhere - most notably the American Civil War and the Russo-Japanese War - could have profoundly influenced the course of European Military and Political thinking, had they been better analysed, with incalculable consequences for the conduct of World War One. One also notes how the indications as to the global potential of the United States which arose from the Spanish-American War seem to as much ignored today as they were at the time. These minor criticisms aside, the book would provide an excellent introduction to anyone undertaking a study of Modern European history and seeking pointers for further areas to explore as regards the impact of military developments.

Career Ideas for Kids Who Like Writing
My mom was helping me find books to help me decide a career and we found this book. It helped me a lot! I learned about being an editor, writer, journalist, and many more. It has a great test to help you decide what you really like to do. I definitely recommend this book to any other kids, and also adults, that like to write.
