I have used chiltons books for many years for different model cars and motorcycles. Do you also provide a CD with maintenance manuel type information. At our local auto parts dealer I've seen CDs maintenance information. I understand from the store employee that the CD is much more comprehensive and has better pictorial details. I'd like to get some more information on the CD. Thanks, Eli Elias

Doesn't cover the 1987 Somerset well when covering the Body, mostly the door windows and regulators.

No repair information for the 1993-95 olds cutlass supreme convertible and or parts info ie..roof motor, actuator, hinges etc.

As all Chilton books it is adequate for basic repair but lacks detail in specific problems, such as the proper installation of a 1984 2.5L head gasket. The electrical section does an adequate job on the schematics but lacks were the differant sensors are located on the engine. Overall it is OK but not for the tougher problems encountered in engine removal and repair.

Transmission modle and trouble shooting

The book has good information, but it is not as complete as it needs to be. We need more information on the timing proceedure.

I am giving it three stars because I have a 1988 Izusu Trooper. This book contains more information on the Isuzu cars and doesn't give enough info on the trucks. I have ordered the Chilton's Isuzu Amigo/Pick-Ups/Rodeo/Trooper Repair Manual. Hopefully that will be better. If you have an Isuzu car. You might find this more usefull.

I've found this book very helpful, but it's not the best book for those who are looking for "do it your self" repairing book.

Since there are some big changes on models later than 1990, this book won't be very useful if you want to use it on a car earlier than 90. also, it is not quite easy to understand if you don't have any background knowledge on cars.
