Amazing Cars
This book is truly amazing. If you are an old "real" car collector or just love these timeless treasures you need to buy this book. Everything was so organized and easily found. This book had such wonderful detail, you'll be at a loss for words. No matter what the age this book will be enjoyed by all young and old. It's a classic.

A practical up to date handbook
This book is very practical for the typical american collector, cars are easy to find (if you know the exact model), it has all the models that have been produced (American cars)until 1990. I only gave it 4 stars because I think it could have more pictures, and it could also include more European cars, because many are missing like Renault, Fiat, etc. For the price, I still think its a good buy and and could come in handy.

Good technical data on some cool cars.
A good book to familiarize yourself with some of the greatest cars in history. Good photos, although some are not as clear as they should be. Nice history on each car. The one downside is the author holds all British marques above everything else, especially against any American cars. Also, I don't believe a rebadged Honda Accord "Rover Sedan" is a classic. If you can overlook the ethnocentrism and British language, this would be a good companion to Quentin Willson's The Ultimate Classic Car Book.

In this reveiw I tell about how nice this book is.
When I got this book for Christmas, I was so excited. I had seen it at Crowns and I wanted it. It is full of colored pictures of sports, exotics, and classic cars. The cars in this book rang from the very exotic Bugati EB 110 GT to the classic and very ugly Healy Elliot. It has a whole lot of info and stats. It has alot of writing and tons of pictures. If you are thinking about this book, you should say yes and take a look at 100 Greatest Sports Cars, another great title. By, Brian the car lover of Illinois.

American Muscle Cars

Great photographs, but poorly organized
American Muscle Cars has terrific photographs and lots of interesting information. The first part of the book focusing on early muscle cars is particularly well done. Overall, however, the text is poorly organized and seems to jump back and forth between subjects and periods.

Comprehensive and witty look at America's Best-Loved Cars
More than a straight history, Campisano's look at the muscle cars of America's Golden Age is filled with wit, humor and authority. A must-read for any serious muscle car enthusiast.

The Anatomy & Development of the Formula Ford Race Car
Formula Fords were the starting class for a lot of famous race car drivers including Michael Andretti. This book covers Formula Ford from 1968 to 1992. Not much as changed on Formula Ford (except Formula Ford 2000 cars have front and rear wings) and yes there is still Formula Fords racing in SCCA competition. Been there, done that!

Anatomy and Development of the Indy Race Car
This shows the evolution of the Indy Car (including CART Championship Cars) up to 1993. This is a good reference book. In 1996, CART boycotted the Indianapolis 500, but from 1979 to 1995, CART and the Indianapolis 500 used the same cars.

Challenging and authentic.
This book is not for preschoolers, but for experienced model builders. The author, an artist, drew accurate illustrations of classic sports cars, like the Triumph TR4 and MGB, among others, in two-dimensional form with the intention of people carefully cutting out the drawings and assembling detailed models of the cars. Steering wheels, seats, and so on are represented in the convertibles. Very detailed and authentic, and only for the careful.
