A journey back in time
Live with Rahab and experience her fears, hopes, and journey to faith in the only true and living God. The reader is transported back in time to see that people are not much different today. Relationships can be a struggle. There are bitter people, friendly people, forgiving people. God has had to deal with us all through the years. Thank you, Marilyn, for helping me to see past the "harlot" into the heart of a woman searching for truth.

Marilyn Kay Stout is a rising Jeanette Oke
Rahab is not only a bible character, but she in actuality was a real person, that not only is mentioned in the bible but in the line of Christ. Not much is actually written of her in the bible, but it is known that she was a harlot, and she did indeed help save the spies. This book gives "life" if you will to Rahab. Although fiction, it gives you an idea of what she could have been like, but it also is reflective of what life was like during this period of time. If you enjoy reading Jeannette Oke, you will love any of the books by Marilyn Kay Stout.

A winner
In 2008 Libya, Russian Nobel Prize winning virologist Dr. Leonid Andropov completes his work on developing a deadly virus and a vaccine. He and his benefactor plan to unleash the deadly bug on an unsuspecting world. Years ago, the egomaniacal Leonid faked his death and moved to this North African country where President Ahmed Al-Almohad has made him welcome. A staunch communist believer, Leonid expects six billion to die for the cause. Ahmed supports his effort because the oil economy of his desert nation will soon dry up, leaving them with nothing.

After a near death experience during a hold-up in which he froze in fear while a thug murdered the clerk, pharmaceutical sales representative Gavin Alexander is a traumatic wreck. He attends a seminar sponsored by his firm Draco on the East Coast where he meets his friend, researcher Cherokee Dr. Ross Hawke, who also works for Draco but in North Carolina. However, neither one realizes that they will soon be a team trying to stop Leonid and Ahmed from unleashing Raptor while seeking a cure for the deadly virus.

FLIGHT OF THE RAPTOR is a quality political thriller that seems like a real possibility of occurring in a world where biological-chemical weapons exist. The story line is fast-paced and filled with cleverly developed action that provides the audience with a wonderful ride. The characters are fully developed, especially the heroes and obvious villains so that the reader understands the varying motivations of each one. Having Florida being a key state in presidential election politics demonstrates talented author Cord Harper's ability to read the future. Hopefully, he is inaccurate on the future of a Raptor-like virus.

Flight of the Raptor
In Flight of the Raptor, old-fashioned heroism meets a future filled with money-grubbing drug companies and dangerous terrorists. The entire population of the planet is at risk when terrorists develop a deadly new virus. The effort to thwart Armageddon runs head-long into political ambition and, thankfully, the heroism of one man.

The book is engrossing, a quick read and a good first novel. I look forward to the next one.

REALLY REALLY SPIFFY!!!
I've been a long time fan of Bill Myers ever since I was about 7. I got this when I was about 8 and I was laughing my butt off! It would make a nice gift for younger kids...or even teenagers. I mean, I'm 14 and still enjoy reading books of this series!

Very Funny!
Wally McDoogle, hot-air ballonist...Yeah, right! A hilarious story with a message about trusting God.

Great illustrations, diagrams and labeled arteriograms
This is a great book for anyone interested in neuroangiography. The beginning chapter goes through the nuances of selective catheterisation and meticulous anti-embolic technique with each step nicely illustrated. It is difficult to get this information elsewhere. The anatomic chapters emphasize the issues that routinely arise when trying to define cerebral aneurysms. These chapters also clarify a lot of vascular nomenclature that can be otherwise confusing. I refer to this book whenever I come across an atypical vessel. If neuroangiography is part of your practice, you will find this book extremely helpful and will want a copy of it in your neuroangiography area.

No better title for this book
This is an excellent starting point for the senior radiology resident or beginning diagnostic neuroradiology fellow who wants to learn the basics of "practical neuroangiography." It is wordier than Ann Osborn's new "Diagnostic Cerebral Angiography" and it contains a bit more statistical information and factoids than I could deal with at times but seldom do books entitled "practical" live up to there names as this one does. There are numerous excellent angiographic examples and line drawings which illustrate common normal variants. I think the greatest asset of this book is the beginning chapters on technical procedures which gives many useful (ie practical) points on performing cerebral angiography which is were it really excels over Osborn. This is a must have in the library of any newcomer to the field.

Excellent, Meaningful! This book offers answers to life.
"...the truth shall set you free." When I read this book, its words jumped out at me as the truth. A beautifully written, very helpful presentation about life and beyond. These concepts changed, or more aptly put, "saved" my life. This book should be a textbook in schools and on every bookshelf in every home. Thank you.

EXCELLENT!
The Silver Cord changed my life and view of spirituality. In a time of chaos and change, The Silver Cord gives us some excellent "inside" view of the "unobstructed". The author's conversations with "entities" of the unobstructed universe are revealing and powerfull. I recommend this book to everyone I meet

Excellent Book
This book is an excellent resource for general public and professionals who are interested in the theme of spinal cord injury (SCI). It uses clear language and also good humor. All to help you understand the important basics of SCI and also to help you survive to SCI. I am using it for my doctoral dissertation as an excellent reference. Congratulations to the authors! I highly recommend this book.

The Spinal Cord Injry Handbook
This book was great. It told about the various types of spinal injuries and how each injury is different based on where the injury was located and how it affected your body and daily life skills.

It also gave insight as to what the family has to deal with as well as the patient. It also covered everything from what a spinal cord injury was to diagnosis and treatment;skin care; rehab;bladder and bowel management and caregiver relief. This is the A-Z book when in comes to spinal injuries.

I found in very informative as my husband recently suffered a spinal cord injury at work and we were told that he would never walk again. However, we have been blessed and he is walking 100 ft w/a walker at a time and is slowly regaining movement in his lower extremeties and we hope that he will be back to his old self soon.

I am ordering this book for a friend who now has to deal with this same injury. Thanks...

A candid and highly intelligent account of personal growth
This memoir recounts the personal evolution of a highly accomplished professor of literature forced to confront a debilitating health crisis involving her back. As a result she questions the path she has taken in life, examining with relentless candor her own past. At the same time, her obsession with a nineteenth century literary figure, Constance Fenimore Woolson, leads her on an unpredictable and surprising course of speculation on matters of spirituality, feminism, and personal psychology. The author's intelligence, humor, determination, and sheer literary skill take this memoir well beyond the usual inspirational new age stuff, and the result is a fine meditation on the coming together of many forces that refocus and redefine her sense of self.
