I'm 32 and remember this book as my absolute favourite. Like another reviewer, I sat down and read it over and over when I was a kid. I really identified with the main character who felt a little out of place with other children, but in the end everything worked out ok.

So it would be great for kids, especially little girls, who feel a little lonely. It's a very simlple tale, but works on a very fundamental level as attested to by the fact they myself and another reviewer have remembered this book well into our adulthood.

I remember very vividly sitting on the floor of the children's library and reading this book over and over and over again. I'm now twenty one years old and studying to become a folklorist. Weeny Witch fostered imagination in me very early on. The plot is simple, but fantastic. The evil witches devise a plot to rid themselves of the night fairies.....To find out if Weeny Witch saves the day, and to watch her discover something about herself you'll have to read this book!

This is a great book for a child just learning to read. It gives them confidence in their ability but is also challenging. It's a cute story and keeps the child interested. My kids loved it!
