An exciting adventure in the series, this features the Eagles female liaison officer Andrea Thuy posing as a Warrior Goddess in order to aid in the mission.

This entry like the last in the series focuses on the female member of the group, Andrea Thuy. When the KGB gets wind of her identity, her life is on the line, but leave it to the Eagles to come to her rescue. Falconi finally gets to meet the KGB Colonel who has been after him.

i know the author, he lives near me. it's a book that takes place in our town medicine hat and it's very funny. my favorite part is when his older brother's friend gets his head put through a wall. it's an easy book for 9 or so year olds to read. recommended.

This well researched book describes the confusion and resignation of three generations of the Fukushima family. All the Japanese Canadians living in a fishing village in British Columbia are placed in an internment camp in Vancouver by the Canadian government during World War II. Fourteen-year-old Tadashi tries to understand the injustice of their internment and cannot believe that his hard working father and other Japanese men in the camp could really be spies. This historical fiction educates its readers about an embarrassing period in both American and Canadian history when both countries ill-treated its own citizens during World War II because of their ethnicity. In an afterword, the author shares his experiences in writing this fiction book without changing major facts of history. Though it is a sequel to "War of the Eagles," this book is a story by itself.

A Class Act was a really well written story with good content but too much dependence on the bed scenes to hold the story together.

Rafe Strongheart was a Tribal police chief who was very interested in helping the young boys who were turning out to be hellions.

Carly Austin, who had been in high school about the same time as Rafe had become a very accomplished teacher and was now working for the system. The school is connected with the Indian Reservation and their people.

Frankie Fire Cloud was becoming a bone of contention between Rafe and Carly. Carly tended to see the good in people and Rafe was always aware of how the boys could ruin their lives.

Blame it on a Blizzard! Although Carly had been around, Rafe had not come in contact with her until a blizzard hit. And he had to save her. They were snowed in until the BIA Road Commission could plow them out.

During that time Carly learned of Rafe's horses and that he painted. Apparently Rafe had fallen for Carly fifteen years before but had issues to settle and he squelched his feelings and now Carly is seeing the man and tries a little positive pursueing. There follows a bit of gentle give and take as Rafe resists Carly's advances and she has a couple of mild scurmishes with the boys and Rafe.

She finally takes Rafe to meet her grandfather. therein is another story. grin. But she does succeed in seducing Rafe and oh la! here we go again.

She does get Rafe to finally tell his story [after the shootout] It is a story to enjoy and then pass around but doesn't have much staying power. Characters are excellent, story is pretty darn good but . . . . . Ah Well, see for yourself, you should enjoy.

A must for any student of the era. As any wargemer or historian knows, information on the Ottoman Empire during the age of Napoleon is almost impossible to find. This book gives magnificient detail on one of the larger, yet least known, participants of the Napoleonic wars.

It covers all aspects of the Ottomans, from Uniforms, to battle techniques and organisation, to general information regarding their participation.

A magnificent book worthy of any collection on the period

It was a vary good book telling about D-Day with the screaming eagles.

Nearly 100 years before the Confederate submarine The Hunley sank a Union blockade ship near Charleston, David Bushnell was working in a Connecticut barn developing an underwater time bomb and the first combat submarine. June Swanson's "David Bushnell and His Turtle" is the story of Bushnell's pioneering ingenuity, which led to the first submarine attack in history. On Sept. 6, 1776, Bushnell's Turtle attempted to attach a bomb to the HMS Eagle, a British ship blockading New York Harbor. Though the attack was unsuccessful, Bushnell's bombs worried the British enough that they moved their ships farther from shore - thus weakening the blockade. Praised by famous founders from George Washington to Ben Franklin and Thomas Jefferson, the Yale-educated Bushnell nonetheless felt like a failure for not successfully selling his innovative submarine design. He later changed his name to Bush, moved to rural Georgia and lived out the remainder of his 82 years as an educator and medical doctor. Writing on an elementary school level, Swanson does an excellent job encapsulating Bushnell's story and securing his largely unsung place in American history. Her book should be required reading for schoolchildren - and their parents - who can never learn enough about the "minor" characters who helped form our nation.

Death Line is a great book. It has alot of action and suspense, which are factors that Don Pendleton fans come expect in his books. Death Line is book three of the Border Fire Trilogy. Someone can read this book and understand it without reading the first two. Don Pendleton reviews somewhat of what has happened in the first two books at some parts in this third book. Why did i give this book a four put of five?

Finding a finger in a packet of chips leads Shepherd's Bush Inspector, Bill Slider, and his side Kick Atherton into the strangest of crimes - what is the significance of the Chinese angle? where do computers fit into it all? and why are all the people they try to interview about the crime suddenly dying? - they still don't even know the identity of the finger - or where the rest of the body is.

This is the third novel in Cynthia Harrod-Eagles series of Bill Slider mysteries and the story I thought was one of her best - although I found the ending a bit of a cop out - it was another unsatisfying end where - while the ending is known I found there to be no real resolution. Each time Slider and Atherton manage to peel back another layer in the crime it seems to take them deeper into confusion. Nothing seems to make sense and they still don't know who the finger belongs too.

Meanwhile things aren't too good for Slider- his home life is falling apart, his lover is not happy and is rejecting him and at work he has to deal with 'Mad Ivan" Barrington whose petty dictates are causing great disatisfaction at the station.

This novel was published in Britain as 'Necrochip' so the title might confuse those who think it is a new novel in the Bill Slider series. This is definitely a very readable mystery and well worth picking up and giving a try. She isn't as good at writing secondary characters, but her crime investigation is gripping stuff.
