Kids with good reading skills and a bilingual background will enjoy Abra Cadabra, Patas de Cabra, a Spanish/English story of a ten-year-old boy's journey to take a message from one community to another. He faces trials and troubles along the way but soon proves his abilities.

My nephew is such a huge fan of the movie, "Dinosaur". He wants to know everything about Aladar, and this book has everything you ever wanted to know about him. What a joy it was to find this book. Now I'm getting one for all his cousins!!

The individual that used to co-facilitated Domestic Violence Treatment groups with me found this book here and ordered it for us to use. We both appreciated the different topics provided in the book, the way it was set-up, the many great assignments to use in group and how issues are presented. It follows the Duluth model, which is what our program follows. The gentlemen in group also enjoy the activities and find the material interesting and applicable. I strongly recommend this book to others to use individually or in the group setting. I have looked through a variety of different books to use in group, though was never instantly attracted to any...though this one was different. The assignments/activities in the book are done in such a way that many of the group members share the information with their partners, thus perpetuating the learning cycle.

this book was a great help to me while I was writing a report on influential first ladies. The author includes interesting facts and much more detail on the first lady's lives than the average book on first ladies. The book includes the first ladies personal insights and what they were interested in - politics, education, etc. It really shows how some first ladies played the presidential role more than the president of the time did. I recommend this book, especially if you are writing a report on a specific first lady included in the book, all the first ladies, and especically the influential first ladies.

Folk art is of ongoing interest, and American Folk accompanies a major ongoing exhibition of folk art at the Museum of Fine Arts, gathering over 50 objects from across the country and adding background history and enough biography for even newcomers to appreciate their significance. A gorgeous presentation.

This book is very well done. While his edition of the Institutes is nowhere as good as the two volume edition by John T. McNeill,
Battles has an excellent grasp on the content of the institutes. He takes, in order, every book, section, and paragraph and explains the content of it in a concise way. The book is in outline form and can readily be used as a systematic theology--even though the institutes are not technically a systematic theology.

So many things are presented to us as truth. We never question. The author has studied and researched deeply into subjects that we as the general public are just too lazy to dig into or maybe we don't want to rock the boat. The truth would change too many thing and we are afraid of change. Be prepared to rethink the time of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Look at it for yourself with information that you didn't have access to before. The resurrection is valid, its just the time that it took place is questioned. Separate from the resurrection information, the book also includes astounding information on astrology that undermines all basis for its validity. Every astronomer knows the stars are not in the exact place they were a thousand or so years ago. Much of the public knows and astrologers know that the personal zodiac signs that we are supposedly under today are not correct. Some have done the math and proved it, yet we still accept it as its presented to us, although it's a false sign. As a Bible student and I'm also interested in astronomy, I found this book fascinating. I'm ordering 2 more copies for friends.

My 11 month old son received this book as a gift from his Godparents when he was about 5 months old. He loves it! It's his favorite board book! He actually turns the pages as I read the animal sounds to him! The pictures are vibrant and it is a great depiction of African American children!
