Moving account of British in China through youthful eyes.
Recently I have taken a great interest in Eastern Philosophy and through my searches for books about the subject I came across "The Ford of Heaven" by Brian Power. The writing is not so much about philosophy as it is about the author's being born and raised in China, until he went off to school in England just before WWII. There are some very philosophical moments in the book and there are even quotes of Taoism and Confucianism. The best aspect of the book is the author's account of the people of the time, both the Colonials and the Chinese. My enjoyment of the book was so high I read the whole thing straight through (less than 200 pages). I decided to get on my computer and find more information about the author and to my surprise I found the book is no longer in print, nor is another of his closely related books. That, my friends, is a true shame

The Beauty of a truck.
Have you ever drove a ford truck? Have you ever tryed to fix up a ford truck. The main thing that you will find out about a Ford truck is that they aren't just a truck but more or less just a good friend. Many people that have a ford truck probly have a nick name for that truck. And many owners will tell you that a Ford truck is very dependable in every situation. I have three ford trucks, 1979 F-250 4x4,1964 f-100,1999 f-150 4x4, and they are all geat trucks! Ford trucks have been a tradition truck for my family, and they always will be. All my ford trucks have great motors and are still in great shape, even my 35 year old 1965 truck, I love that truck. I have been brought up in a farming comunity and if you ask any farmer in my town they will tell you "I won't drive anything but my Ford." they are great truck all around! in closing I would like to say that your magizine is a great magizine.

Now I Can Fix My Car All By Myself!
Hi there. I'm Frank, and I'm fillin' in for Zaggy in the reviews department while he gets a bit of a rest from it all. My latest review is on this here Pinto repair manual. I've been drivin' my 1979 Pinto hatchback all around town (mainly from home to work and back) ever since I bought it brand-spankin'-new way back in... um... well, I don't recall exactly what year it was that I bought it. I do know, however, that it's only one more smog check away from smog exemption in my state! And five years after that, it'll be considered a classic! Yep, I can just see it now-in five years I'll be cruisin' the main drag and ALL the mad hotties will be swoonin' in the presence of my classic Pinto! I might even let my good buddies Zaggy and Ro'y tag along with me so we can REALLY get down! Ya know what I'm sayin' down on the G-Funk, dawg?

Oh wait... I'm supposed to be talkin' 'bout the Pinto repair guide, ain't I?Well, lemme start it off by tellin' you the story of how I got my copy of it It was given to me for free by the supervisor of a local repair shop where they replaced a worn flywheel-thingy on my rear-end detonator. The guy said that I should learn to do my own repairs more, and then mumbled something about my presence in the shop 'creeping out' alla' the mechanics working there. They were really good mechanics, too-one of 'em said the repair time would run about four-and-a-half hours, but it only took 'em three! And I should know, 'cuz I was in the waiting room the whole time, watchin' 'em doing the fix-up! Talk about service!

But anyway, after looking through this neat-o book, I was quite amazed by how many parts there are in a Pinto! And I don't just mean the radio dial knobs and the window-roller knobs either! Heck, the motor and other stuff under the hood is made up of all sortsa things! Heck, there's even things inside the things, according to the cross-section illustrations I looked at! From the alternator to the universal joint, you got a whole lotta pieces with really weird names that I have a tough time tryin' to understand! Heck, I'm even thinkin' of takin' my Pinto completely apart and then-- with the aid of this manual-- put it all back together again! Now I know what I'll be doin' on my next vacation break-- all three hours of it!

G'Bye

A must read for Ford enthusiasts. A wealth of information on all the Ford conversions that I know of except Roadless which was given it's own book. I was expecting more than a brief mention of Weatherill. Just like Gibbard's Roadless book, an abundant supply of photographs.

This book is great but is missing something.
I think that the book is extremely helpful. The only problem (so far) that I can't fix with this book is - How do I fix the rattle of the air ducts above the headliner with out butchering the headliner?

Thanks
