This book provides the ideal introduction to the work of the profoundest of Shakespeare's successors. Its treatment of Ford's non-dramatic work has been outdated by recent discoveries, but each of the plays receives a discussion that is both succinct and really illuminating.

this was one of the greatest books I have ever given my children to read. This is an inspirational book that every child will love.

The clinic I work at has this book, and it is amazing! It explains concepts in a way that you makes understand them, and more importantly, remember them. I love this book; I just hope someday I can afford to buy my own copy.

I have enjoyed reading this book to my two girls, age 5 & 1. A book of few words helps with repetition and learning. My youngest says the objects and points to them as I read. The pictures are very nice and bright. I even brought "Good Night, Baby" for my nephew.

This is a great book for the study of the Artic Tundra. I am using it along with "Julie of the Wolves". I highly Recommed it!

This understated, beautifully written novel ranges over three decades in the life of Meg Mowbry. Elaine Ford covers a great deal of complex emotional territory -- how people change, or fail to change, over time; how long-ago actions and events continue to shape our lives; how we understand many of our own choices only in retrospect. But what's most amazing about Ford as a writer is how economically she accomplishes all this, and how skillful she is not just about which details to highlight, but which to leave out. After I finished the book I found myself missing Meg -- and even more, I missed the sound of Elaine Ford's quiet voice, making sense of life.

Its about a little mermaid that gets into troble and whats to be a human. dont go woundering around without telling your parents.
The age level is 2nd grade. It was a good book.

As a parent of young children, I found this to be a well crafted piece of work. It blends an understanding and appreciation of nature with the joy of childhood discovery. Rich, warm illustrations really draw you into the story. Nicely packaged for a good read with your kids.

The definitive work on Lotus twin cam engines. I used it to rebuild (and re-engineer) a motor for a 74 Europa. I've seen
no other documentation - including the Lotus shop manuals - that have more and better detail than Wilkens' book.

Lynn Ford was an exceptional artist and craftsman, and this book serves as a primer for his style of woodcarving. He set the standard for large scale chip carving, integrating many influences from around the world. This book should be in the library of every serious woodcarver.
