It would be particularly useful for the use of engineering and science students who are interested in this area as well as for people already working in it that need to have a consise reference covering all the technology and easy to consult.

i am a pakistani so this kind of book is like a hidden treasure for me and others. i am lucky that some how i got it even if it was very costly for me,but after studying this book i came to know that this deal was really very very cheep for me.the book is so easy to understand the language of the book is also very easy.the methods used to check different components was so understanding. in my view this book is a deal of a treacure in $105.,

As a new owner of a straight-from-the-UK 1975 1000 model Mini, I was clueless about everything as to where to find the horn (answer: it's on the directional signal stick) to where the battery is housed (answer: in the trunk!). The owner's manual for this model is long-gone but this neat little book is a great stand in. As the label on the back of the book reads: IMPORTANT: DO NOT LEAVE HOME WITHOUT THIS BOOK.

this manual has far the best information and diagrams anyone could ever ask for. It is very detailed step by step guides to help you diagnos the vehicle you are working on.

It is an excellent publication and first ever attempts to combine all the available techniques and apply to real time scenarios. I congratulate the authors.

I've read dozens -- many dozens -- of books about the old car hobby, and this is easily the best one I've found. This is a book for driving enthusiasts, and people who love post-WWII sports cars and GT's -- it's not for speculators, or people who want to make a buck. ...highly entertaining and informative read.
Taylor doesn't go into any of the notorious muscle cars, but instead concentrates mostly on lesser known models (mostly). Besides, there are plenty of books out there that go on ad nauseum about Detroit's V-8's. This book gets 5 stars as a car book, and 4 stars as one of my all-time favorite books, any subject.
So go ahead, learn a little about Bocar, Woodill, and Bill Thomas' Cheetah (a Cobra beater). Buy your own copy of this book while you can -- I'm keeping mine, and taking it with me after I die.

The book made me appreciate the Morris more than I already did. I never realized what a well engineered automobile it was. I knew it was a great car to drive. It's handling was supurb. Far above many larger cars. Learning about Isigonis partnership with the car was interesting. The fact that the Morris sold well even though Lord Nufield (William Morris)never liked the "poached egg", as he described it when he first saw it. And in face of the fact that there were no hard sell advertisement or promotions to sell the car. It sold itself. The engineering was superior to other cars in it's class and in some cases out of it's class. In spite of the fact that the car during it's life had very few improvements, and the ones it did have for the most part were minor (no pun intended) I think The book like the car was well thought out and well researched. It was written by someone who obviously has an interest in the car personally. I still own the book, which I bought at an automobile museum in Pennsylvania (USA) While on vacation. I've read it several times and never tire of reading it. It also made me wish I had kept the Morris' I used to own. Two, 2 door saloons, and a Traveller. If you have one, please keep it. If you want to dump(Morris car) it give it to me. I promise to give it a good home.
