I've used a lot of manuals over the past 35 years. to be totally ownest all i wanted to do is look up a few spec's before i got to the shop to save a little time, and now i'm commentting on a book that i have yet to read. Typing from experiance. Motors, Mitchel, and chilton are all about dead even with there information. But i think that as far as the labor guide goes chilton is the prefrence for me personaly. But there is room for improvement. This is my guesstament. they get there times from cars that are clean and not driven by a varitey of people. So there is not other related problems that come with the abuse and neglect that the average moreone puts them through. Howed i do ? thank you and have a nice and safe drive. Kerry Stafford ASE. Show me more !! A little short on the technical side. Good for a basic understanding of your cars complex internals. Not much help on the shop floor. It does however, teach you one thing. Find an experienced mechanic !!! These beasts will twist and tangle even the most proficient and experienced import mechanics.

This book helped me out with a lot of modifications for my '82 Camaro Z-28.

This book was great it tels you about everything you need to know about Toyota and Lexus cars

This is my choice over the similar book by John Reynolds, owing to its better writing. The other book definitely has better pictures, and probably more details like fabric swatches for the various years, but this one delves deeper into the story behind the car, telling tales of the people responsible. And uncovers some interesting facts from deep within the Citroen archives and interviews with the principals. It also benefits from the long professional automotive journalist career of its author, as the writing is very polished.

Americans won't find much on our tiny market, but may enjoy deciphering the British colloquialisms scattered throughout. Like "If Hotchkiss had not bottled out, the ...could have not only anticipated the DS but beaten it hollow."

very good examples of early tractors and there working

The photography was excellent and the stories and details on Ford collectable trucks were quite interesting. If you are into old car or truck history or collecting, this is a great addition to your library. Buy it!

I first became aware of Vic Willoughby's books while travelling in Europe, yet his titles are hard to find here. This is unfortunate for his books share an exhaustive and intriguing look into the technical and historcal aspects of some truly remarkable motorcycles. In Classic Motorcycles forty bikes from six nations that span seven decades are reviewed with an emphasis on mechanical finesse and innovation. Several illustrations, including exploded diagrams of engines, and a few in color, accompany the marques' racing developments and successes. Some of his other books tend to focus more on technical explanation but this work includes ample historical backround as well. 176 pp.

This book has a good collection (maybe the most extensive) of MG collectible items. From advertising materials to toy cars. Its lots of fun and a good reference.

The photo illustrations in the book help show people what a particular part looks like, even though it is in black and white. The highlight in orange of a particular part described can help point out a part of the car, in order to easily identify from its surround parts of a car. The book gives some website to find information whether it would be about car buying to other automotive consumer information. The book, however does not go too much into detail of each parts of the car. This maybe good for someone who know very little about cars. The book looks easier to read and understand and should not be too overwhelmed by the information given in the book. However, if a reader wants more details and are less worried about photos, then Auto Repair for Dummies would be a better choice.
