I just purchased this book and the Braden book. I felt that the theory portion of this book was outstanding: it even compared the Weber systems to SU carbs in one area - the object was to reinforce there are multiple ways of achieving the same objective. I felt that the section on disassembly/assembly was not quite as strong as the Braden book - but if I ever tune my car for more serious racing - this is the one I'd come back to. Overall - well worth buying.

This book steps you through trouble-shooting, removing your engine, doing the actual overhaul or rebuild, and blueprinting. As a beginning weekend mechanic I found it to be informative and helpful. I would definitely recomend this for any curious beginner.

this book is a very well documented engine rebiuld. it gives you the reader information on performance parts / parts interchangeability . also has a great specifications page has every torque spec available for every part of this engine. i would highly recomend this book..

Yerigan's book is great. He discusses theory in a manner most people can understand. He covers a variety of mags from teardown to testing. Book has geat photos too.

well organized, thoughtful clear illustrations and photographs with sufficient information to guide you through a bumper to bumper restoration. Includes excellent resource index.

This buyers guide is a great resource for Camaro information and history. Whenever I see a title by Michael Antonick, I just buy it. Often these kind of books are poorly done with poor photography and incorrect facts. For someone like me, I can forgive an occasional mistake but if I read about something I know and find a series of mistakes, the authors credibility goes down the drain.

The only thing I might add to the next edition is some kind of chart for each year listing all engines with RPO codes and horse power information etc.

Also, I can see no RPO codes for the base V8 engine for any year.

Great Book!

This book by Peter Sessler was very well writen. It has enough information to make anyone a respected mustang informant. This was my first mustang book and I still go back to it for information from time to time. I bought the book when I was 15, and now I own a 94 GT convertable. That is how big of an impact this book can have. People always wonder how I know so much about mustangs and now I must admitt, it is because of this book. The main thing that I didn't like about the book was the way it went into detail at times and later seemed to skim over some cars.

This book offers great coverage of the TE standard. It deals with each element in understandable language which helped me grasp the standard better. I bought the book to learn about R&M and it covers this subject well. It also covers TE implementation, APQP, and preparing for the certification audit. The last 1/2 of the book is filled with example Quality Manual, Procedures and Work Instructions. I am happy I spent the money for the book. It was well worth it.

For people who are just getting involved with automobile performance, this is where to begin. It is purely an introduction to the pursuit, but it covers all areas in a sensible order: suspension, wheels & tires, brakes, drivetrain, engine, interior & body. It encourages forming a plan with a realistic budget, which I didn't really have until I finished reading this book. The appendices also serve as a useful directory of resources for finding parts suppliers, schools, & clubs. You'll need much more information before you can actually put a project or even a plan together, but this will help you set balanced, reasonable goals.

The book has very little text, but the pictures bring life to a spectacular era in American racing.
