A really good book!
This was a really good book. Here are some of the reasons I like it.

It has to photos of the car, both different years, They have them going all the way back to about 1992, and it showes the reviews on it. Not just a little bit of reviewing, but a huge review. I didn't even know that the Ford Windstar was going to replace the Ford Aerostar for 1995, and I have been studying cars since 1999, and my family owns a Ford Aerostar. It was very helpful. I found out what happened to cars that were made in the 80's. Very good book. I just really liked it. I think its the best used car book you can get!

Vincent Motorcycles - Two-wheeled aristocracy
The book series "Osprey Classic Motorcycles" gives a quick overview for anyone interested in old motorbikes. The volume on "Vincent" motorcycles by Duncan Wherrett is no exception to that rule.

There once was a time when Great Britain ruled the world of motorcycles. The factories produced an enormous variety of machines. The first makes that come to mind are BSA, Norton and Triumph. Among them and many other producers, there were two rather little factories that stood out: Brough-Superior and HRD-Vincent. Whereas the first one had its hey-day basically in the 20s, HRD-Vincent, or simply Vincent - as they became later known - produced exclusive bikes from the early 30s until 1955. The book tells the story of these mounts with their powerful one and two-cylindered engines that made up for a very exciting ride.

The reader gets lots of information - exceptional photographs and well-informed texts by an automotive historian - at a reasonable price. It has to be stressed that technical data are kept at a fairly low level, which makes this publication the perfect choice for every enthusiast, who is not keen on knowing e.g. valve-diameters in the first place. Nevertheless it is a must for every motorcyclist, who loves well-engineered classic British bikes, only a handful of riders could afford at their time and which nowadays can only be admired in museums.

Beautiful pictures yet lack of model information
The book contains beautiful picures of beautiful cars. But the book title was not really satisfied my first expectation - learning the small differences among models.

Grimshaw's Beetle - A Photographic Marvel
The author presents over 140 pages of large, detailed color photographs of Beetles from the world over. There is a short section on Beetle history, but the two main sections feature vintage & restored cars and "Cal-look", customized Beetles. The color photograph reproduction is outstanding, as is the detail in the pictures themselves. The photos show up-close views of interiors, engine compartments, hoods, front-ends and wheels & tires. This is a great book for anyone who loves Beetles (or is thinking about one) and is looking for ideas about restoration and fix-up.

No one cares
If you're even remotely interested in photography, you'll enjoy this book. You'll probably want to enlarge and frame many of the photos within. I bought a poster in a used record store taken from a page in this book, cropped a little on the edges, framed it and have a great wall hanging many people compliment and ask aboout. It didn't take long for me to check the fine print and determine from where it came. It had to be ordered as I'm sure It's not well-known. If this book were marketed however, it could target Volkswagen fanatics and, to a lesser degree, car nuts in general. It's fascinating and a little wierd to see the obsessive order in which all parts were stacked and stored. Also cool are the shots of seemingly endless rows of perfect, new VWs. Beetles and Buses in staight, orderly rows. My first car was a '68 beetle which I rolled, and later hit a deer in -the deer survived. Beetle ownership, however, is not needed to enjoy this book. And, if you're simply into displaying books and getting reactions, this represents the most bang-per-buck ever.

One of the best books I've found on mechanics. Recomended.
This is a well written, easy to read hard cover book I've ever seen. The only "not so good" thing about it are b/w photographs. But that's not a real problem. I recommend this book to anyone who likes beetle and has no problem to get "hands dirty" of oil.

This book has a wide range of useful information.
You get a taste of the history of the bus along with some pretty good photos of the various models. The book also gets into buying and restoring a bus. With information on customizing. I would recommend the book to someone who is interested in buying a bus, especially if they intend to restore or customize it.

An excellent book!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I found the cars fascinating, and the descriptions complete. The only thing I disliked was that all of the pictures were black and white, and there were several errors in relation to car specifications. I recommend this book to anyone who likes cars.
