This book is expertly written by Ian Cooling and the collectibles are superbly photographed by James Mann. It details the fascinating memoribilia and factory-issued artifacts that paralleled the growth of one of the most successful British car makers of this century. From the early Swallow beginnings to the XJ220 and XK8, the book explores brochures, racing automobilia, posters & advertising, models, mascots, and badges. I see something new everytime I open the book...and you don't have to be a Jaguar owner or enthusuast to enjoy it. One of the favorites in my Jaguar library.

The Polpo Vuh is also written by the Maya of Ancient America. It predates the Chilam Balam series by at least 4,000 years. This is written as a correction to the previous reviewers notes on the Chilam Balam. It is important to purchase these books while they are available to us, the American Aboriginal from any part of the Americas while there is peace. None of the California Public librarys carry any of our ancient texts as they still marginalize our needs. You can always get Ancient Classical Greek works in public librarys across the country and anything from across the ocean but our own American original pieces are not made available to us still. So, if you can please purchase these books, and the Popol Vuh and donate them to your public librarys while we still have a chance to recover from the on going conquest.

Fantastic book for the XK 120,140 & 150 lover. Filled with great history and interesting info about one of best series of Sports Cars ever produced. A must buy.

As a new (used) Jaguar owner I was concerned about being taken advantage of, or being at the mercy of auto mechanics. This book allows me to review the problem first and places me in a position to explain the problem to the repair shop in terms they understand. I have aso been able to make minor repairs myself by following the instructions in the book. I carry this book in my car and refer to it often. I know it has saved me $100's in repair bills. No Jag owner should be without it!

In this book the author treats the symbolism of feline prowess in america espcially well. One of the most intriguing aspects of this work is how the author juxtaposes the feline symbolism with that of other religious and cultural imagery. Highly recommendable.

This is absolutely the best book of Jaguar information for a person who wants up-to-date,no-nonsense, serious information on the Jaguar. The data collected by the authors is simply 'mind-boggling' ! Of all the books I have read on Jaguars this book is by far the most detailed and authentic. The book is an in-depth study of Jaguars of the Llanos, Venezuela. This subspecies, along with the subspecies from the Mato Grosso in Brazil, are the largest and most massive Jaguars in the world. My hat goes off to the authors and I would like to tell them personally...THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!

A complete, comprehensive, and Authentic Manual that is viable for much of Series II repairs as well as series III. Excellent photos provide much needed help for the do-it-yourselfer who's not afraid to tackle some of the idiosincrities of our E-type's. One small repair with the help of this manual will more than pay for it and you can be rest assured of no 'Hanger rash' in the process.

This book describes in detail the Series 2 and Series 3 E-type changes during production and lists serial number changes for the restorer who must know exactly the equipment on his/her vehicle. The black/white photographs are very detailed, and a handy reference. As always though, the exact serial number model of a specific change can be in doubt, so a good cross-reference guide on Series 3 is"Jaguar V-12 E-Type: A Guide to Authenticity" by Richard T. Russ with color photographs and details on the plating and color of various nuts, bolts, and equipment. The Restoration Guide, in my opinion, is an excellent companion to your sevice manual and parts catalogue.

This is a fantastic book. It's great to see the two earliest E-Types in existence, featured in the same pages. Someone looking for volumes of technical and restoration information will be disappointed, but the photography is excellent. The book also features photos not often seen in color, as well as early (and now rare) brochure material. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has even a passing interest in E-Types. It's an excellent value for the money.

Like the car it describes, this one by Denis Jenkinson on the Jaguar XK-E is a jewel. After two Jaguar XK-E's and 15 years Denis Jenkinson says in the context of his time times were changing and not for the better. Remember during WWII Denis Jenkinson was a Research Engineer in the British R.A.F. during a time when germans were trying to kill english.

Somehow english managed to survive and produce a graceful and glamorous car in spite of Lucas Industrial Lighting which came to be known as "The Prince of Darkness." If James Michener wrote the Bible on Hawaii then Denis Jenkinson wrote the Bible on the Jaguar XK-E.
