Modifying and Tuning Fiat/Lancia Twin-Cam Engines

Comprehensive, addressing all areas of incresing performance
Having met Guy and having him modify my Fiat TC was occuring as the book was being written. This book reflect guy's no-nonsense sceintific approach to enginge modification and shares his experience such that I felt confident to build up my own engine after he had done the machining. Information in this book is clear and detailed and would apply to many other engines as well. This is in the same top-flight rank as Vizard's books on the BMC A series...maybe better. Neil Roshier

Excellent technical manual for the enthusiast
As a Lancia/Fiat enthusiast, this book gives me all the technical know how to safely modify where the author has been and experimented with these excellent twincam motors. Guy Croft runs a large tuning shop for these engines and the book is his exhaustive results of what works and what doesnt, and what results can be expected. Very technical, very thorough, this is a book that will save the enthusiast a fortune by avoiding mistakes in getting more power out of a TC motor. The only other company that have ever done so much modifying to these engines,Abarth, have never revealed any of their findings to the public in this manner, which makes this the only book on the subject to my knowledge ( apart from workshop manuals) A rare find indeed! Find out about the genius of Vincenzo Lancia.
An excellent book full of technical drawings, specifications, photos and colour plates which combine to tell the story of one of the greatest automotive engineers and his company.

The book includes anecdotes that allow the reader to understand the persona of Vincenzo Lancia, the man that gave the world independent suspension, unitary construction five speed gearboxes, anti-roll bars and was hero worshipped by Enzo Ferrari.

Until you read this book, you won't realise that Lancia are responsible for more significant motoring firsts that have shaped the cars you drive than any other car company. The V6 engine, transaxles are a few Lancia innovations.

The text is interspersed with competition results that highlight Lancia as the only manufacturer ever to hold World Championships in Formula 1 Grand Prix, Rallying and Sportscar racing. A great deal of time is spent on the rally competition heritage as the most successful rallying car ever with 11 World Rally Championships in only 20 years of competition.

This book is a must for everyone interested in innovation and automotive engineering, and as an insight into the mind of a genius.

The book was informative but had bad photographs.
The Lancia is a great Rally Car, as illustrated in this magnificent piece of literature from the author. Although the photos weren't really my bag, baby, I am a great fan of the Italian car.

flawed history of Lancia
This is one of the earlier Lancia history books, primarily photographical, with some caption errors, but some useful information. We have a good used copy,
