Dodson history and genealogy
This book is very accurate and shows many examples for proof of statements. The authors didnot jump to conclusions for the sake of links to famous people or events. I found this to be a great guide for the novice researcher because it emphisises caution on assumptions. Tells you straight out if there wasn't enough proof for them to be positive but listed the information in case proof comes later It is easy to read and follow though the many generations. There are enough interesting tales, writings, wills etc to cause you to forget your original purpose and to begin to read as if it were a history book. Which may or maynot be a good thing.

The problem I see as the owner of both books Volumn 1 and 2 is that the index is in the 2nd book and you seem to be offering only the 1st book and this will leave researchers lost who don't know who is in which geneation, exact dates of birth, locations and which given name applies to your relative (some of which are repeated by every sibling in the family when naming their own children and on and on for generations). I suggest you make the 2nd book available to your customers too. It contains wills, property titles, lots of later date relatives witness to legal events and much more. The 2 books are of equal value to a genealogy researcher.

Dog-eared and well-loved
Edwina Parkhurst has a guilty secret, one that she has lied, contrived, and connived to keep hidden. Knowing full well that what she does is denounced as a terrible sin, preached against in pulpits, seen as Satan's handiwork by the God-fearing people in her world, and especially by the family she loves and has supported for years, Edwina continues her sinful ways. She has no choice if she is to keep a roof over her family's heads, food on the table, and garments suitable to their station.

Everything changes when she agrees to accompany her married sister to Oregon to rejoin her abusive husband, a trip that takes them through the wilds of Nevada's High Desert. A trip that has the sister and her daughters stolen by outlaws and strands Edwina in the desert winter. Dressed as a boy, driving a buggy destined for a 'calico queen,' and taking care of a man she thinks is an outlaw, she is hard put to keep on lying to Tal Jones, her captive, a blind gunfighter.

Wanting nothing more than to make enough money to go south where it's warm, Tal agreed to protect the freight wagons of whiskey, but he didn't expect to get shot in the head, lose his eye-sight, and wind up with a boy who was becoming more and more attractive every minute. And, of course, that isn't right.

And, of course, Edwina isn't a boy.

El Ciclo de la Ilusion y el Desencanto: Un Siglo de Politicas Economicas Argentinas

If you study Argentina's history, this book is a must !!!
I loved it!!! One of my professors at university recommended this book to me, not only for Argentinian History 1 and 2, but also for History of Argentinian Economic Policies.
"El ciclo de la ilusión y el desencanto" explains quite clearly the economic policies that were applied in Argentina, and at the same time gives a good insight into our history.
It is easy to read (despite the subject), and shows us with what awful and amazing frequency the same mistakes are repeated.
For those eager to gain a deeper understanding of Argentinian history, this is a must!!!

An anthology of virtuosity
Endcommercial does a spectacular job of bringing organization to New York's seemingly chaotic visual landscape. It digests all the nooks and crannies of the city into bite-sized chunks, transforming what is normally a sensory-overloaded experience into an urban symphony in which each color and texture has its own unique visual "sound."

This tour de force book brings a spotlight to New York City's minutia, and in so doing becomes far greater than the sum of its tiny parts (which, to the naked eye, might otherwise seem inconsequential).

If you live in NYC, this masterpiece will allow you to see your backyard through the filter of a beginner's mind. If you've never experienced New York, and you're curious, Endcommercial will give you an orientation that might take years to achieve by organic means.

Get ready to be floored by this anthology of virtuosity.

As complete a coverage as is currently possible
As a longtime subscriber to The Fibonaci Quarterly and a regular contributor to the problem column, I thought I was well-versed in the many applications of the Fibonacci and Lucas numbers. The contents of this book quickly led to an attitude adjustment on my part. It is astonishing and almost mystifying at times to see these numbers appearing in situations where "intuition" would tell us that they have no reason to be involved.
Subjects such as Fibonometry, where Fibonacci and Lucas numbers are related using trigonometric functions, demonstrates that the mathematics world is one where there are some topics that just seem to be attractors for many others. You start at one point and follow a logical path and suddenly, unexpectedly you arrive at the Fibonacci and/or Lucas numbers. The number of identities betwixt and between these two sets of numbers is so large, that one wonders if some of them may forever remain undiscovered.
There is a great deal of material in this book that could be selected for use in mathematics courses at almost all levels, starting at the position of precalculus. The inductive proofs of some of the identities are excellent demonstrations of how induction is used in mathematics. An extensive problem set is given at the end of each chapter, and solutions to the odd-numbered exercises are included in an appendix.
This is one of those books that all mathematicians should own. The problems and demonstrations in this book can be used as fodder for students hungry for interesting problems with solutions that teach them something. It demonstrates how mathematics is interrelated and how even simple definitions can lead to very complex and universal results.

Nostalgia!!
Brought me back to the old days of when my great-gradmother told stories about Mason, TN. No one could believe the hardships she faced, such as Fred Montgomery did in Henning,TN. She was definitely viewed as the "griot" of our family who held the knowledge of the village in her head and feared no one. People like my grandmother and Mr. Montgomery rekindles your faith, allows you to appreciate EVERYTHING GOD has given us, and never lets you take anything for granted. This book will absolutely make you a better person. While reading this story, I could only think of one word......POWERFUL!

If you have any positive thoughts about introducing a child

The pictorial story introduces the beauty of the sport by showing many of the charming attributes of enjoying the beauty of the places where fly fishing is pursued.
