ML Sport Utility Vehicle from Mercedes-Benz
First introduced in 1997, the ML 320 and the ML 430, have exceeded all expectations for the first SUV from Daimler Crysler. This is the book that outlines the development and the many ideas that came together to make this one of the most desirable trucks on the road! Many excellent photos by Road and Track author, John Lamm. The book also outlines a brief history of Mercedes-Benz. The factory photos are also included with a story of how Vance, Alabama, USA, was selected from all the sites that were on the table. This is a must read for the car enthusiast and a definite collectible for the Mercedes-Benz owner! Remember the old advertising phrase from Packard? "Ask the man who drives one!" The same applies for the Mercedes-Benz ML 320!

An excellent book on an excellent truck
This is an excellent account of the development of the M-class sports utility vehicle by Mercedes-Benz. Replete with many pictures and stories about the genesis of this truck, I found the book informative and visually interesting.

The SL Experience: The Ultimate Mercedes-Benz SL Resource Book
Published in Hardcover by SL Market Letter (01 September, 2001)
Author: John Olson

Read This Book Before You Buy An SL of Any Vintage
Not only a nearly exhaustive review of SLs, from the Gullwing to the SL600, but a grab bag of useful information on MB art, books, clubs, toys, grand touring, and the like. Handy and beautifully crafted pull-out design appraisals by body type enhance the utility of the book. But the most compelling reason to include this book on your homework list before you buy an SL is for Olson's evaluation of the collectibility of each body type (and models within type) and the 8 factors that affect the value of a collectible car. While the book is a little skewed to the Gullwing and 300SL roadster, it's hard to argue with the author's obvious visceral appreciation of these works of automotive art, and the pictures and vignettes in the book are priceless.

A book for reading now & referencing later!
A great facts & figures book, though much more! It's indispensable for the beginning enthusiast, as well as the tenured.
The collection/profiles of leaders in the SL community is definitely a useful resource.
Experience it for yourself!

Chilton's Mercedes-Benz 1968-73 Repair Guide Review
The repair guide is an excellent source if you want to know just about everything you'll need to do to a Mercedes-Benz vehicle in this time frame. Engine rebuilding, wiring diagrams, specifications, fuel injection, carburation, diesel-all in step by step detail. I've got a 280SE & 280SEL, both with the 4.5 (M117)engine, and the Chilton's has eliminated hours of tracing wires, measuring pump pressure, and wondering how to pull the engine from my work with these two vehicles. I'd recommend it to any enthusiast, from professional to novice.

This is a must read for anyone considering a used Mercedes!
Barrett does a great job of introducing Mercedes-Benz automobiles to the unfamiliar. He chronologically presents models from 1886 with emphasis on models from 1960 to present. Chapters include pictures, text and performance data for each model. Barrett also provides important tips on what to look for and avoid with regard to specific models. Anyone considering purchase of a used Mercedes, or with an interest in past models, would be well served by Barrett's authoritative presentation.

THE book on the subject
Complete information on every Grand Prix race Mercedes-Benz competed in during the period, backed up by excellent, large format, photographs. I wished for more technical information (there is some), but it gets five stars anyway.

A fabulous book, well done in all respects.
As a car lover and military history buff, I found this title to be not only lovely, but informative. I learned a lot I did not know, and the pictures were all I could have asked for. This book is REALLY hard to find in good shape without a remainder mark, but if you can get a copy, snag it quickly. Highly recommended.

tri-pointed star
this is one of the best books on the market concerning this unexplored area. The photos are clear and detailed. The story is well written and includes where the surviving cars are today and when you can see them in person. The bibliography is also a wealth of furthur information. One thing- you have to get the dust jacket with this book, the photo is fantastic.

Outstanding Book on Daimler Benz Automotive History
Large, expensive, photo packed book covering the history of Daimler Benz from the start (mid 1800s) until 1986. Published by Mercedes Benz of North America. Fairly accurate, interesting historical account of the world's finest cars. Includes info on Ferdinand Porsche who designed many cars for Daimler Benz. The author tends to awkwardly go back and forth between the histories of Benz and Daimler (before their union in 1926) but it is still a very desirable book for those interested in European automobile history.
