Easy to read. Perfect for the casual owner and the certified mechanic. Contains everything from general boating and maintenance information to precise tuneup, wiring, electronic, power head and lower unit specs and rebuild instructions. You're nuts if you own a 1990-2000 Mercury/Mariner outboard engine and you don't have this handy.

From the basic do it yourselfer to the skilled mechanic, I think this book is a valuable tool for everyone. Over the lifetime of your engine, one can save thousands of dollars in basic maintenance costs and repairs. Seloc actually uses engines that have hundreds of hours of operation versus the factory manuals. They provide meaningful step by step photography and easy to understand procedures. The most important thing they do is tell you how to put the parts back together.

I was ready to just scrap out my boat for junk.
