Many Stories About Miraculous Cats
This book is full of stories to delight the heart of any ailurophiliac (cat lover). They are interesting, and inspiring and above all, they show the character of cats as only a cat lover can appreciate them. Examples from the book are:

A 1400 mile, 4 year journey--48 days without food or water--A cat who beat up a pit bull--The cat that flew--The cat that repeatedly climbed the Alps--The cat who solved the problem of building the Grand Coulee dam--The cat that was tried for assault--The day the Egyptian army was defeated by cats--The cat who won a war medal--The cat mayor of a New Mexico town and a lot more.

This is a fine read for cat lovers and really shows the traits that endear cats to people.

Gotta Love Those Cats!
A terrific read of the adventures (and misadventures) of cats. A great collection of stories that will cause tears, laughter, and inspiration for all.

Some Hillarious Tales!
This is an easy fun to read book detailing some of the lighter moments in baseball. The stories about the worst teams of all time and the overly obese legends who graced and shadowed the game really stand out. Also these story about Zeke Bonarus's wacky fielding exploits are pretty hillarious. This is definitely abook that will amuse young and old time and time again.

This is the best and funiest baseball bok I've ever read!!!
Bruce Nash and Allan Zullo have taken hundreds of the dumbest plays and players in the history of baseball and put them in one book. There are many things I've told baseball trivia buffs that I read that they never knew. The wording in the book is so funny that I laughed till I cried! If you need a laugh or want stump any trivia buff, read The Baseball Hall of SHAME.

Wonderful peek at recent history
I used to read Sunny Nash's column in the Bryan-College Station Eagle. It was my favorite part of that paper and I was saddened when she left. Bigmama Didn't Shop at Woolworth's is an amazing look back at what for some Americans -- either for our age or our background -- is an unknown history.

A change of perspective and a great read in one book.
Every White person in America should read this book! Sunny Nash writes the story of her childhood without preaching or ranting but she made me realize for the first time just how much skin color changes how one experiences the world. When she was just three years old her grandmother taught her how to read 'colored' and 'white only' because that was a survival skill just as important as 'Don't get in a car with strangers.' The book is remarkable. I was taught, and I teach, that skin color doesn't matter any more than hair color. But, if your skin color is brown, it matters a great deal to a great number of people. I needed to learn that, Sunny Nash is a great teacher.

The Court-Martial of Ensign Mason
Published in Paperback by 1stBooks Library (April, 1902)

THE COURT-MARTIALOF ENSIGN MASON
This book is a thriller from beginning to end. The last several chapters are written with exceptional realism that engulfs one's emotions and feeling you are experiencing the horrors of war, with the action in the last chapter very authentic and reading like one of Indiana Jones' movies with constantly changing situations and drama. The fictional career of Ensign Mason parallels that of many fine Coast Guard officers during World War Two, and typifies the role played by the Coast Guard in manning Navy ships and landing craft in that war. This is a novel that will be of particular interest to those who served in the military during any war.

THE COURT-MARTIALOF ENSIGN MASON
This book deserves wide circulation. It is maserfully written and depicts accurately life aboard an escort vessel in the Mediterranean during World War Two. The thoughtful Soliloquy, and Glossary at the back of the book, are informative and special.

By James Mackay, fmr. First Lieutenant and Damage Control Officer aboard the author's ship. Fmr. Georgia Congressman.

comprehensive, informative, and enjoyable. a must.
the book tells the reader exactly what it should, the history of each man and the lives. in and and out of rock and roll, that they led up to that point. if you are a true CSN fan this book is a must read.

Like being backstage
An outstanding accomplishment by author Zimmer. He takes you backstage, in the studio and to the homes of CS&N, and provides a remarkable, authentic picture of life with the gang. The author seems invisible, a stellar achievement, and the inside world of the pop music business and the artists that make it work come to life. The section on how Nash "stole the girl" from Stills, and their reaction, is priceless. I was able to make contact with the author, Dave Zimmer, who works for MCA records, and he says a new edition of the book will be out sometime in '99, in time for a landmark tour.

Enjoy lIfe, but think eternal!
This is a perfect graduation gift. So often teens go into the world or even college with the idea that they are invincible. This book is thought provoking, and humbling. Hopefully it would help bring forth eternal thoughts and ultimately help those take those first steps towards Christianity.

Enjoy Life, But Think Eternal
This book is a "must read" for all teenagers. It reveals how a thoughtful, thought-provoking teenager looked at life. It would be a great teaching tool for a teenage Bible class. I bought copies for all my grandchildren and got their promise that they would read it before they graduated from high school.

One of My Favorite Heyers!
I discovered Georgette Heyer in about 1970 and this is still one of my favorites. The mother of the twins is one of those charming shatterbrains that Heyer characterizes so well, complete with all the wonderfully tangled circumstances into which she has embroiled herself. Kit, the twin who forms the main part of the story, is the underplayed hero - younger son, serious, willing to step in for his missing twin to help save his brother's engagement. Then of course there's the fiance and her dragon of a grandmother. Heyer froth at its best! Winning characters, unexpected situations, and denouments that keep you guessing.

Twin Trouble !
This is Georgette Heyer at her best ! We have a gentleman who is pulled into the most shocking masquerade because of his loving mama. And so he proceeds to woo his brothers finacee, only to find that she prefers him. And he can't 'fess up, because his mothers gambling debts have to be paid with the settlement. The entire mess unfolds, with perfect Heyer elan, witty dialogue, and and excellent cast of characters!

It's a pleasure to read about heros who don't think it normal to fight duels, or abduct maidens, and heroines who have a sense of humour. A wonderfully pragmatic couple in the most unusual circumstances. A light hearted romance that leaves you smiling for the rest of the day.

HELP! Has helped much more than I ever thought.
After Separating, I realized things were becoming increasingly difficult for my daughter. I knew I needed help. So when I saw the title 'HELP!' I bought this book immediately. I have never been so impressed with a book. It asks the questions that kids have, but often are afraid (or unable) to ask and gives parents a way to answer - without too much information. HELP! assisted my daughter in breaking the silence with her therapist and to sort out some issues she had with her mother and me. It acts as a guidebook - informing children of some ways to speak up if they feel that their feelings are being squashed or if basic child/parent rules are being broken. HELP! even describes what some of those basic rules are. I'm actually purchasing one for my Ex-wife that she can read with our daughter. One of the best things that has come from this book is that my daughter now keeps a notebook and writes down questions for me in it, I respond to her and we bring those in to her therapists office. This approach lets us all know what important issues are on her mind, and how best to HELP! her through these difficult times. The best review though - I can't go more than a few days without being asked to read from the book.

Excellent Role Play
Being a stepmother of two beautiful children that came from a not so beautiful divorce, I was determined to help them understand the divorce and my role in their family. This was a wonderful book that allowed me to sit down with my stepdaughter and read the book together. The book is broken down into sections ranging all the way from feelings of divorce, mom and dad dating again, to acquring a stepmother or stepfather. Each chapter opened up with a fictional "letter to the editor" type letter written by a children asking for advice. My stepdaughter enjoyed reading the letters out loud and I would respond with reading the chapters out loud. I would end each chapter by asking her how she related and what her thoughts and feelings were. This book allows a great opportunity for stepparents to interact with their stepchildren and provides some clarification to the child as to what divorce is all about.
