This book is brilliat - if you can get hold of it. It's well written and comprehensive.

I need this Book. This is the only book about the Peugeot 205 that i did'nt have. Please send me more informations.

If you are the lucky (?) owner of a 504 Diesel, you need this book! It is (as usual with repair manuals from Haynes) very thorough, as it was made by picking the car apart bit by bit, and putting it back together. The Peugeot 504 is not the easiest car to maintain, as any owner would admit, but with this book, your life becomes easier. I found it to be very helpful in locating a difficult to find oil leak, and also to overhaul the diesel pump, not the easiest task. But even if you're not comfortable with any big repairs, you can save money on knowing your car, by doing routine maintainance yourself. This book will help you find what parts need maintainance,how often it needs to be done and how to do it. An unfortunate thing with Peugeot engines, is that they require several special tools. The book tells you what kind of special tools you'll need, but also in some instances how to make them yourself.

As a long-time Peugeot owner, I have saved thousands of dollars using Haynes repair manuals to guide me through repairs on my cars. I strongly recommend this book for all Peugeot 504 Diesel owners!

Though I bought this book becouse I love 205 GTI's and wanted a good read, it has real good substance which can be extremely usefull. For instance; except from the history of the 205 which you'd expect to find in a book like this, it has chapters going deeper in the sporting roots of the 205, a buyers guide with usefull tip's, service tip's and an extencive list of adresses (mostly U.K. though) of part specialists, tuning specialists and dealers. Not only the 205 GTI is discussed but also it's special editions, the 205 T-16 rally car, the XS and GT models (though only breefly), 205 rally and 205 CTI cabriolet. it's a good value book with quite a bit of information.

Most images are black and white, with a few large color photo's. and it could use a few more pages. Though for it's price and substance it still get's for stars.
