I bought it because my husband collects windup toys and this book comes with two! (surprised him with it - something very difficult to do!) Beautifully illustrated and a cute story - a hit for race fans young and old!

Illustrated in copperplate style by the authour's husband, the noted sculptor and printmaker Zeke Ziner. Inspired by a voyage from Montreal's Expo '67 to Halifax aboard Bluenose II The book has been a sort of record breaker itself as it has remained in print for over 26 years

This book really helped me. I'm just starting out with my BMX bike and racing, it helped with with everything i could need to know about how to take care of my bike and stuff. This was a great book for me i think you should read it,

Bcos im a girl people thought it was stupid ,e being a bmx rider no instructers would take me on bcos it was a ''mans game'' but i self taught thanks to this nbook it was a lot longer process but it worked and hey ........FREE OF charge...no lesson fee's! ill take a guy on then! cmon if u think ure ard enuff!

The book is very factual and very well written. It covers the history of the Salt Flats from the beginning in the early 20's. It brought back some great memories for some of us veteran drivers. I've been going there since 1949. The club I'm in, Land Speed Racers, has 2 of the original participants still racing. Dwayne McKinney and myself, David Ratliff. The pictures show a wide variety of cars, drivers and equipment. I'm glad to have been a small part of this history and happy to still be going to the Flats. See you on the Salt! Dave Ratliff

This book teaches you all you need to know about RC Car racing. I recently got started in this wonderful hobby and now know more about it then I ever did! I would highly recommend this book to anyone just getting started in RC Racing.

It was a very good book.I liked it because all the smoke they made when they were having the burnouts.It had these fast cars.And when I say fast I don't mean 85 miles an hour.I mean 2-300mph.Now you couldn't imagine going that fast!It's a rollercoaster!NOW HOW YA LUV DAT!
