We really enjoyed this story, because it is such a good example of how you must work to accomplish your goals. Since George procrastinated and did not prepare for his big race the outcome was not what he would have wished. The pictures are charming, and George is so typical of all of us. We are buying this book, so that our children, (as well as the adults) can be reminded from time to time to do the work today and not tomorrow.

Derick writes a section on his 1992 championship triumph, looking at each of the races in which he emphatically achieved the dream it looked like he would be denied. A great look at a great racer.

I really enjoyed this book. It's an in-depth history of the Norton Manx racing motorcycles from their inception, through their racing successes, famous tuners, and all the way to the current vintage scene.

There is reasonable technical information, but more enjoyable are the narratives of racing successes, the development of the bike, etc. There are lovely period photographs of the bikes in action, the engines as they evolved, period memorabilia, etc.

There are even sections on the use of the Manx engine in car racing, etc.

I truly enjoyed this book. As I am a fan of the Norton Manx bikes, I liked this book more than many of the other Norton books which describe all the single cylinder bikes, or the twins, etc.

Highly recommended.

I have read many books on Mario Andretti and each one is different. This one contains never seen before photos of Mario in action over four decades. It also contains a detailed history of all his races. If you are a fan of the greatest American race car driver of all-time, this book is a must read for you.

Although written for the younger reader, this is a great book for people of all ages. Has a lot of information on Andretti but I really enjoyed the part of the book that focused on: Statistics, Chronology and Further Reading. A must for Andretti fans.

Mario Andretti was the best race car driver of 20th century - bar none! Gordon Kirby is one of the best auto racing authors. When you get Gordon Kirby writing about Mario Andretti, you get an excellent book. The photographs in this book are "awesome!!!". Your money will not be wasted when you buy this book.

this book is of great detail and it helped me beat the game. but it doesn't leave anything secret, so don't get it if you like finding things out on your own/.
