I'm surprised the NASCAR (and, to a lesser extent, the Indy car folks) haven't gommed onto this little book. It features one-of-a-kind interviews with top NASCAR drivers, crew chiefs, crews -- even owners -- talking about something that's usually intensely private: their religious beliefs. If you follow NASCAR, you've GOT to be interested in what Jeff Gordon, Dale Jarrett, and the gang think. Some of these guys -- particularly in the crew -- have never been interviewed before. Also, each interviewee talks about their most memorable moment in the sport. I stumbled upon "Wheels of Thunder" in a religious book store, but it ought to be at all of the tracks.

I borrowed this book from my friend last year and it was great!The story was very moving and exciting and I encorage all to read.Once I started to read the book I couldn't put it down. It was a great book!

You cannot read this book! Not if you've read 1-9 before it! It was wonderful, filled with nail biting tension and great racing action, I recommend this book to all horse loving teenagers!

I found this book well-written and to the point. I like it very much as it does not have the scientific mumbo-jumbo frequently found in training guides. It also included some race strategies which I found very helpful. After following the training schedule for a few months, I found that my times had improved significantly. I'm recommending this book to all my runner friends!

Great learning tool for amateurs and pros alik

Mr Border presents some very practical information on the mechanics of managing your wagering dollars. He covers everything from straight betting to the exotics, in easy to follow fashion. Very good discussion on how to pick contenders, and how to make high probability bets without having to create your own speed ratings or track variants, etc. Most profitable book I've read all year.

I have recently rediscovered my childhood love of bicycling. I bought this book because I always like to read up on my interests. This book was more than the usual "nuts and bolts", such as maintenance, technique, nutrition etc found in sporting books. I thoroughly enjoyed the personal adventure/experience stories from the various women cyclists. Most books simply instruct and educate, this one does both of those things as well as fascinates and inspires. I was in awe of the accomplishments of the author and the other women who shared their experiences, knowledge and insight.
