We are just starting to learn
about brain mysteries and learning. Her book helps to make a dent in that pathway of mystery. She gives practical advice as well as personal stories to support her point of view. This is a must have for any teacher.

great resource
This book is a fantastic resource for activities on right-brained learning. Vitale's format is very easy to follow. The lessons are practical and easy to use. I have used this book in my classroom and have found that the lessons engage students and help them to understand difficult concepts.

A key to unlocking the door
I read this book twelve years ago. As a homeschool mom it helped me understand the ways I needed to work with my child. Now, as he approaches graduation...he is a musician and speaks two languages fluently. I will never forget the day this book fell into my hands!

Every dad should have one!
I purchased five copies of the book--two for expecting fathers, one for my brother, one for my boyfriend's brother, and one for my boyfriend and me. The book is an excellent way to give dad's and mom's ideas for creative ways to entertain and interact with their kids.

If you want your kids to think you're cool.........
These days fathers need all the help they can get. My eight-year-old daughter used to think I was the coolest guy in the universe, but lately I've been getting hip-checked by the backstreet boys and n'sync. I've found myself competing for her attention; and I've been trying for the past few months to pull any fun rabbit out of the hat I can find (I got one of those "juggling for klutzes" kits and practiced in secret). A few weeks ago, a buddy of mine (also a dad- and familiar with my plight) told me he'd come across a really cool book called The Amazing Dad. I pounded the pavement till I found the lone remaining copy at a local bookstore; and I was blown away- on darn near every page there's a cool trick or fun activity that any spaz can do. Every one I've tried so far has left my children laughing, squealing, and begging for more. The diagramming makes everything an easy-to-duplicate, no-brainer. This book has become my "FUN BIBLE"- I keep it hidden so as not to reveal the source of my new-found coolness. Each time the kids ask me "Where'd you learn that?", I just give them a shrug and play it off like "Oh, I've got a million of 'em- you ain't seen nothin yet"- which means they better come out with volume two before I run out of rabbits. Seriously- a dynamite book.... big thanks to Preuss and Livera for making me a cool dad again. Maybe they can teach me to sing and dance.....

Quality Time Made Easy
This book is a handy instruction book about how to liven up the time you spend with your kids. It could have been titled 'The Amazing Parent' since the activities described within are easy for a dad, a mom, a grandparent, even a babysitter or a teacher to perform and enjoy with kids. If you are always in a rush and know you need to spend more time having fun with your kids, this is the manual for you. Are you a single parent who wants to make the most out of your weekends with the kids? It is great for kids of all ages, but seems best for those under 12. It has great anecdotes throughout for dad inspiration. You don't need to read it cover to cover to gain some kind of message about parenting. Instead, open to any page and have fun instantly. I dare you!

A book for kids both young and old
I am a college student, with an undying love for baseball. An old coach recommended it and i could not put it down. It's easy enough for any child to read, and entertaining enough for any baseball lover-no matter what age! It touches on all of the real issues of a little leaguer and how they feel. I felt like i was being transported back into my little league dugout. Then the magic of the story is an added bonus. This book is a "must read," and will be finding itself a home on every sports lovers bookshelf in the very near future. Wow what a book! Great Job Mr. Bosworth! You are a great author and a true baseball story hero!!!

my son's favorite book
i purchased this book for my 9 year old fanatic baseball fan of a son last Christmas. It was then, and remains still, his favorite book ever. I truly hope that Mr. Bosworth has more books just like it.

This is Baseball Fiction at its Best
Finally a sports fiction for both children and adults. The Box Seat Dream touches the heart and soul of anyone who has ever played baseball or any sport for that matter. My son is not an avid reader but loves to play ball. He couldn't put this book down. He even brought it to the dinner table. I loved it as well. Exciting baseball games, realistic life obstacles, skills learning and fantasy all wrapped up in one book. Mark my words, this story will one day become a movie. If books were honored in the Baseball Hall of Fame, The Box Seat Dream would be inducted. It is that good!

The Bema
The Bema provides an opportunity to refine your perspective of heaven. After reading the book I found myself thinking more about what God thinks about how I respond to things, what I say, how I treat other people and what is in store after I die. The book is fictional but parallels many things that are taught in the Bible about what we can expect in heaven. What an exciting adventure we have ahead of us. The Bemma is a very thought provoking piece of literature.

Excellent Book
This is one of the best books that I have read in a long time. The author takes you captive from the beginning. You will not want to eat or sleep until you read the entire book. We, as believers, need to be reminded often that each daily decision will reap reward if we choose to "follow Christ" and listen to that "still small voice" that guides us through all trials and tribulations.

Uriel is a delight and I truly believe that we each have our own "Uriel" watching over us. It is almost scary to think that even in our failures of the flesh that our guardians still watch over us and never leaves us.

This is a MUST READ! I have been in the Christian book industry for years and I am not sure why I had not found this gem before. I will most definately keep this book on my book tables that I do for conferences.

What Will You See At The Bema?
The Bema is an eye opener. I love this book. I saw a play done that was basted on this book. That's where I got the book. I read this book and loved it.

It's about this man who goes to Heaven in the Rapture, and while he's there he has to go before the Bema, the Judgment Seat of Christ and be judged for all that he did wile he was on the earth.

Let me tell you when you read this book you get convicted. It makes you watch what you do and say. For everyone you do and say will be judged by God! And that's a good enough reason for me to watch what I do and say!

This book can change your life. It's a good thrilling story, with a very, very, VERY, good morel to it! Get it, Read it, and let it make you think twice about your life and the way your living it!!!

READ IT!!!

A great book packed with activities to do with your kids
Even though, many of these activies are geared toward school-age children, it's a great book. My favorite chapter is Rainy Day Fun because the day seems a lot longer when the weather isn't pleasant outside.

Great Examples and Activities!
The activities in this book are great! It gives lots of examples and even more ideas than most. The best part is that anyone can use the samples or add/take away from one of the other activities listed to create a new one. Life saver when the kids are really bored. In fact, after we did many of the suggestions, my kids read them over and came up with even more games and ideas themselves. Now - that's a switch.

It's a Keeper!
"Help@ I'm Bored!" is a lifesaver for parents with children between the ages of 2 and 12. You'll find everything you need to keep them busy and entertained. - - over 300 activities, including arts and crafts, super-easy tasty treats they can make, outdoor activities, games, and even fun ways to improve reading, writing, spelling and math skills. It's a keeper!

The Hunter-seat bible
I set a goal, less than two months ago to return to riding (10 years ago, I was a walk-trot) and learn how to jump before next year. Not only am I jumping, I'm the trainer's favorite demonstrator for her more advanced students! My secret is this book. Another trainer told me to read it, and she couldn't have given me better advice (no really, she couldn't). If you're a hunter-seat rider and if you want to really know what you're supposed to be doing, instead of guessing and second guessing your trainers' wishes, read this book!

A good base for all styles of riding.
I have read and reread this book and consider it my equitation bible. It is not only for huntseat riders but the basics apply to all riders. Mr. Morris is one of the finest equestrians I know of. I own a first edition of this book and whenever I have a question I go to the master. I have always ridden according to the principles set out in this book and though I ride stockseat now , the same principles still apply. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to ride or to veteran riders.

Hunter Seat Equitation
There is a reason why George Morris is such a revered member of this sport! This book is brilliantly written in that it takes a form of a horseback riding that appears so complex and makes it easy for anyone to understand. I rely on this book as the basis for my training in hunt seat. His emphasis on not only on technical maneuvers, but on style as well and, through his pages, the reader truly comes to appreciate both the athleticism and beauty of this sport.

TV free
I tripped across this book at my local library and I am here looking for my own copy, as we are limited on how long we keep it. I brutally removed the kids from their TV addiction, and the transition has been difficult on the older ones especially. This book has been my salvation. The prereader like to pick out things by picture, my beginner read has no problem understanding the direction and my toddler and teen get involved too. We have used this to fill the huge void of television and to stave of the "mom I am bored..." routine. This is a small book it fits in my purse and we take it with us everywhere. Breaking the index down by activity type means I can have a Doctor's waiting room idea or a park idea up in running in 2 minutes. The materials list is in the margin for easy access and all the material are everyday every house items, half of which are in my purse any way... This book is a keeper!

Great addition to a family's library
This book was recommended in the book Living the Simple Life. I'm so glad I took the time to get it. It's a wonderful resource for busy families looking to spend some quality time together. So turn that TV off and buy this book. Encourages you and your child's imagination and they learn through playing with simple things around the house and the bonus is that by not watching that TV, you've spent memorable time with each other...what could be better?

Lots of activities for your children to choose from
For each activity, the authors explain how to do the activity, materials required and materials that are optional to use

365 activities to choose from which are grouped into 16 categories

Safety reminders are included to ensure safe play environments and to monitor potentially tricky materials

The authors explains the importance of quality tiem and quailty play

Few of the many activites includes:
Alphabet Hands
Atlas Adventure
Crayon Rubbings
Easy House of Cards
Family Calender

Gotcha!
House Detective
I've Got a List
Phone Words
Sand Painting

Hooray for creative people!
My daughter was given this book by her Aunt and Uncle, and what a wonderful surprise the book turned out to be! Quite clever, and very funny..... Though my one year old daughter is a bit young for the book, I've had more fun reading through it and wishing I was 10 years old again!

A lot of time and effort obviously went into this delightful activity book. Looking forward to Creative Aventures Part II....?!

Courtney's Creative Adventure
We bought this book for our grandkids, and are ordering another copy for a friend. It is a big bright book filled with wonderful things for kids to do, things that really call on their creative juices. I think the thing that makes this book stand out is that children really get to know Courtney and her family and friends, especially when she was a little girl. It's like having Courtney to play with, and kids seem to love it.

A great counter to summer vacation doldrums
Compiled and illustrated by Courtney Watkins, Courtney's Creative Adventures is a fun and exciting book packed from cover to cover with creative activities for young people. Color drawings and photographs illustrate suggestions for entertainments ranging from scavenger hunts, to creating puppets, to simple games shared with friends, and much, much more. Courtney's Creative adventures is enthusiastically recommended as being a great counter to summer vacation doldrums, holiday blues, and an excellent "anytime" antidote to boredom!

Great advice for college administrators
Judy Hoffman's book is a great tool for PR Directors and Public Affairs Directors at colleges and universities to use to prepare or update their Crisis Communications Plans. Her book is easy to read with great tips, including her "10 C's of Good Crisis Communications." I can't imagine a better resource to utilize than this book. If I am ever faced with a tragedy on our campus, I would first turn to my Crisis Communications Plan and then re-read this book.

Pleasant and very informative reading!
Ms. Hoffman's book, "Keeping Cool on the Hot Seat", gives a comprehensive perspective on turning a negative situation into something positive. As an educator, I found this book to have great application not only in the public relations world, but for anyone who needs to proactively communicate with other persons about delicate situations. As a small business owner, my husband was able to recall numerous situations with customers when he could have functioned more effectively had he been aware of the principles and approach to the management of crises.
Ms. Hoffman writes with wit and a definite expertise on her subject. Colleges and universities should consider this text for training future business leaders, and it should be required reading for any persons who deal with the public on a regular basis.

Must Read for Communications professionals
I enjoyed reading this book a great deal. It vaidated much of what I had already learned and pointed me to new and useful techniques, ideas and resources. Not only MUST communications professionals read this book, I think it is a valuable tool for anyone who wants to understand the dynamic world of media and news reporting

Great Activity Book for Summer
A ton of great ideas. Some very simplistic but I purchased the book when my son was 3. A 2 year old would find the simple activities enjoyable. We like stone painting and butter balls. Worth the investment for sure!

Your children will love the activities in this book
There are 13 different types of activities. They are Art, Construction, Craft, Dance, Education, Environment, Foods and Cooking, Games, Horticulture, Make-Believe, Music and Nature. It gives you tips for your child's safety and enjoyment. The book also lists a variety of materials and supplies you might need for that activity.

GREAT book!
This is a wonderful book! I have 5 days to plan a week's worth of activities for 10 children between the ages of 1 and 5. A friend loaned me this book. The ideas are extremely varied, some indoor, some outdoor, some can be adapted for either.

The ideas seem to be in random order through the book, and the index at the back lists what category they fall under, i.e., art, craft, construction, dance, environment, family, games, etc. All ideas can be done with household items that you already have, paper plates, glue, crayons, and many ideas do not require any supplies. All of the ideas are presented in a learning-through-play manner, not academically as in other books like this. After looking through this book, I found literally dozens of ideas, and my stress level has gone down considerably!

The one thing I would change about the book--I did not find any warnings regarding the 2? or so ideas that involved balloons, and there were minimal warnings on ideas that included small objects that young children might swallow. People will have to rely on their own common sense (easier for some than others).

Overall, a superb book, and I'm thrilled to have discovered it just when I needed it the most!
