Still available in German

A more objective view of HitlerThe book helps to counter the simplistic official history we all have been taught in school, which basically asserts that Hitler and the Germans were the embodiment of evil and had to be utterly destroyed to save the world. We are told of numerous German atrocities and outrages (many of which have been debunked) and never hear of the terrible crimes before, during, and after the war of the Communists. This official history is an attempt to justify Britain and America choosing to ally with Stalin's Soviet Union. Unfortunately for the world, they clearly sided with the greater of the two evils.
No one can persuasively argue that the world was better off with the outcome in Europe in 1945. Read this book and decide for yourself if what you have been taught is the whole truth. And, yes, it is timely because we are being fed more propaganda and misinformation to justify current wars to "save civilization".
Each of the "Green Books" that cover areas my father was at are now part my "Heirloom Library" on his military history, that I plan to pass on to my son and granchild.
If you are a serviceman from the Philippines action, you should have this book as a tribute to yourself. Your family and friends should have and read this to understand why my generation, and laters, owe so much to you.
This book is particularly pertinent to my "Heirloom Library" since my grandson is half Filipino.
